Bengaluru girl students’ indulge in street fight, video goes viral

An incident of girl students’ of a reputed school in Bengaluru indulging in street fighting in full public view went viral on Wednesday.

The shocking unverified video of the students in uniform, holding baseball bats and fighting, kicking, pulling each other by the hair have gone viral on social media.

In the video, the two groups are seen arguing among themselves for a long time and then suddenly, one of them comes forward to snatch the baseball bat and then a fight starts between them.

The video shows the girls rolling over steps and falling. One gets hit against the iron grill and later with her bleeding nose is escorted away by her friends.

However, the exact reason was yet to be ascertained and there was no police complaint registered regarding the incident. Even the date and the timing of the incident is also not clear. The jurisdictional Ashoknagar police in Bengaluru maintained that they do not have any information on the issue.

The management of the reputed school has also so far not reacted to the incident. According to information available from sources, the two groups fought over the issue of boyfriend.

The boy had taken one of the girls out, without the knowledge of his girlfriend who studied in the same school. The girlfriend who came to know about it had questioned the girl and it took a violent turn, sources said.

Maharashtra govt signs MoU with CEGIS to boost social governance

Mumbai, June 23: A five-year MoU was signed on Monday between the Maharashtra government, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and CEGIS (Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States) to enhance data-driven governance and policy delivery across the state.

This was done at the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on strengthening the ‘CMO Social Sector War Room’. During the signing ceremony, CEGIS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Vijay Pingle and other senior officials were present.

“This partnership will enable stronger governance systems, Data-driven decision-making, technical and policy support state government and more effective decisions & implementation across departments,” said the chief Ministers office in its post on X.

“The MOU will provide technical, analytical, and strategic support to effectively implement schemes, initiatives, and measures in the social sector. A ‘Decision Support System’ (DSS) will be developed for the Chief Minister’s Office, which will promote data-driven decision-making processes. The system will be integrated with the War Room mechanism, enabling the measurement of scheme progress based on national and international benchmarks. These systems will be utilized to reduce discrepancies in information and enhance the quality of citizen feedback through efficient monitoring,” said the chief Ministers office.

CM Fadnavis stated that a tracking system for the implementation of social schemes will prove extremely beneficial. “The MoU will enhance strategic capacity and make transparency and accountability in service delivery more effective,” he added.

Mumbai Police arrests 38 wanted accused

Mumbai: Mumbai Police has intensified its action against criminal elements. Between June 11 and June 20, the police claimed to have arrested 38 most wanted accused during a special operation in Zone 4 of Mumbai. These accused had several serious crimes registered against them, including 34 assault and harassment, 13 property and 9 other crimes.

This operation was conducted under the leadership of Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti. DCP Ragasudha said that the police were looking for many accused and the police had started searching for them. Under this, this operation was conducted and the police has also prepared a list of criminals who are wanted in many cases.
