The makers of the much anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone announced the new release date. Taking to Instagram, Prabhas also treated fans with his first look poster along with the release announcement.

Sharing the poster, he wrote, “The countdown to the future has begun! #Kalki2898AD in theatres worldwide on 9th May 2024.”

The film, which was expected to release on January 12, will now hit the big screens on May 9.

As soon as the news was shared, fans chimed in the comment section. One of the users wrote, “Theatres will blast.”

Going the extra mile, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ executed a grand release date announcement through raiders across multiple cities Pan-India, including Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Bhimavaram, Kashmir, and Vijayawada.

During the event, the raiders marched together, building anticipation and unveiled the scroll in a unique and exciting way, announcing the film’s release date as May 9, 2024.

The film also features Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.

Actress and former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed visited Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings. On Wednesday (November 8), the fashionista shared several pictures and a video to give a glimpse of her visit. Urfi was accompanied by her sister Dolly Javed.

In the visuals, Urfi is seen wearing a pink ethnic suit. She covered her head with a dupatta. One of the photos shows her posing with folded hands in front of the temple. She also shared a picture of kada prasad.

On November 3, the Mumbai Police issued a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter) reacting to Uorfi’s fake arrest video that went viral on social media. The police also registered a criminal case against those involved in the video. It also said that the fake police inspector from the video has been arrested.

“One Can’t Violate Law Of The Land, For Cheap Publicity! A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police, in a case of obscenity is not true – insignia & uniform has been misused. However, a criminal case has been registered against those involved in the misleading video, at Oshiwara Pstn under sections 171, 419, 500, 34 IPC,” the post read. It further read, “While further investigation is on, the fake inspector is under arrest & the vehicle has been seized too. #RealityCheck”The FIR was filed after a video of Uorfi went viral in which in which she was being arrested by two women dressed as police officers. She was seen taken into a vehicle by the women. The video sparked concerns over Uorfi’s arrest. However, the actress later revealed that it was a promotional stunt.

Earlier too, several complaints and FIRs have been lodged against the actress for her choice of clothes and for “obscene acts in public and on social media”.

However, Uorfi remains unfazed by the hate and she has time and again stated that she will continue dressing up as she likes and that she will not be bogged down by trolls.

The energy and vibrancy of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth at the age of 73 years is much talked about. His best friend from Bengaluru, Raj Bahaddur has revealed the secret during the release of his recent mega hit ‘Jailer’.

Talking to the media, Raj Bahaddur explained that Rajinikanth derives energy from meditation. He goes to the Himalayas often and meets sages. The sages will give him certain roots of medicinal plants to remain composed and young. Once that root is eaten, it will give energy for the period of a week. It will energise the body, he explained.

“That is why Rajinikanth is 73-year-old, and looks like a 23-year-old man. He is looking more active and vibrant films after films. The swag has never come down. The reason is the special medicinal plant root that gives him the energy,” said Raj Bahaddur.

He further explained that every Rajini film is a festival. “Rajinikanth called me yesterday and asked me to watch the movie and give my review. Others will only tell him that the movie is good and I will give him correct feedback. I won’t do that. He has been my friend for 53 years. I don’t fear and tell things plainly as they are. Rajinikanth knows about it,” he explained.

“After every film’s release, Rajinikanth will visit the Himalayas, conduct prayers and come back. He could not go to the Himalayas for four years as he was sick. This year he has gone. When he called me, I advised him to not go as there is heavy rain in north. But whatever he decides, he does it,  no matter what,” he stated.

“I like ‘Basha’ the most among Rajinikanth’s superhit movies. Likewise, at an age of 73 years, Rajini has retained the same swag in the Jailer movie. Like ‘Basha’, this movie is also going to create history,” he said.

Rajinikanth is settled in Tamil Nadu but he is a Kanndiga. Rajinikanth has great respect towards Kannada language. He has ensured that Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar is part of the Jailer movie. We have known each other for more than five decades. He was the conductor and I was the driver,” said Raj Bahaddur.

“Fans celebrate me coming to theatres and they think Rajinikanth himself has come to watch the movie. Rajinikanth knows about it and many times warned me to be careful,” he added.

Rajinikanth had explained in length the bond between him and Raj Bahaddur at the pre-release function of the movie Jailer and remembered how he could enter the film industry because of him.
