MP Sanjay Singh addressed the public at Eidgah Maidan Sunni Masjid Bilal against the Waqf Amendment Act
Mumbai: A public meeting was held at Dotanki Sunni Masjid Bilal Eidgah Maidan against the Waqf Amendment Act in which the chief guest and special guest Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh addressed the public. The program was presided over by Pir Tariqat Quaid Ahle Sunnat, President of All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Ulema and Sajjada Nashin of Khanqah Alia Kachchha Muqaddasa Hazrat Allama Maulana Syed Moinuddin Ashraf Al-Ashraf Al-Jilani. And the patronage was provided by Quaid-e-Millat Bani Raza Academy Vice President All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Ulema. A large number of scholars, imams, scholars, intellectuals of the nation and the public participated. The program began with the recitation of the Quran. Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh explained with great clarity and arguments that the Waqf Amendment Act is not in favor of Muslims. He said that I have also said this in Parliament and I will say until the last moment that this law has been made to usurp the property of the Waqf.
He said in an emotional manner that according to the Constitution of India, which was written by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, in Articles 25 and 26, it is still there that people of every religion are allowed to worship according to their own religion. And they have the complete right to spend religious property on their religious works, the current Waqf Amendment Act is also against Articles 25 and 26. He has openly said that the current government does not want the welfare of Muslims, but rather their aim is to benefit their close people. Highlighting the shortcomings of the Waqf Amendment Act, he said that there is an act in it that only those who have practiced their religious affairs for five years can do waqf.
He mocked Modi and said that how will you find out which Muslim has prayed for five years or not, fasted or not, visited the mosque or not, will Modi install CCT at the house of every Muslim? The current government is saying that Muslims will benefit by Rs. 12,000 crore. I say, what is the need to disturb so many Muslims for the benefit of twelve thousand crores, just bring back one man, Nirav Modi, who has scammed twenty thousand crores and fled, out of which twelve thousand crores should be given to the Muslims, and you take the remaining eight thousand crores. There is an act in the Waqf Amendment Act that the documents of the endowment will have to be presented, the question arises that how can the documents of the property that was endowment five hundred years ago be provided. While the current government itself admitted a few years ago that all the properties of the endowment have been made online on the basis of documents, what is the point of asking for the documents now. Finally, he said that not only Muslims are against this black law, but secular Hindus are also included in it, more than two hundred non-Muslim members of parliament have voted against this bill. Even today, Hindus and Muslims want to live together, only a few people do the work of spreading hatred. Moin Al-Mashaikh said that we can never accept the black Waqf Amendment Act.
This law will end the protection of Waqf property. Then the government will arbitrarily give it to whoever it wants. We will continue to fight against this law until the last moment. Protecting Waqf property is our national and religious duty. We cannot give up on it. Moin Al-Mashaikh thanked Sanjay Singh and said that you told the people about this law and informed them about its shortcomings. You gave your valuable time for which we are grateful. Al-Haj Muhammad Saeed Noori, founder of Raza Academy, said that the Waqf Amendment Act is a direct attack on Waqf property. It cannot be tolerated. We are ready to fight every fight to end this black law. MLA Amin Patel, while expressing his views, said that Moin Al-Mashaikh has been standing in the field against this law since day one and will continue to fight. This law is not for the rights of Muslims but has been made to snatch their rights. Maulana Amanullah Raza, Maulana Abbas, Nizamuddin Ra’in, and other scholars, imams, and intellectuals spoke.

Mumbai Weather Update: City Wakes Up To Clear Skies, Mild Breeze; Overall AQI Stays In Moderate Range At 78

wether
Mumbai: After weeks of unsettled weather and intermittent showers, the city finally woke up to clear skies and crisp air on Thursday, marking what appears to be the end of the monsoon season. For the past two days, no rainfall was recorded across Mumbai, signalling that the retreating monsoon clouds have made way for the onset of post-monsoon conditions.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is expected to experience clear skies through the day, with only a minimal chance of isolated light showers or thunderstorms in select pockets. Daytime temperatures are likely to hover around 33°C, while the minimum will settle near 23°C, conditions described as pleasant and comfortable for early November.
The recent spell of short but intense showers had not only brought temporary relief from humidity but also helped wash out accumulated pollutants, leading to an overall improvement in air quality. Prior to this, the withdrawal of monsoon winds had caused a spike in pollution levels due to stagnant air and increased vehicular emissions, resulting in a hazy skyline and reduced visibility.
Fresh data released by AQI.in on Thursday morning reflected this improvement. Mumbai’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 78, placing it in the moderate category. While the figure marks a slight dip from the good air quality recorded earlier in the week, it still represents a substantial improvement compared to the smog-filled conditions observed after monsoon withdrawal.
Residents across various parts of the city reported clearer skylines and visibly better air. Among the city’s monitoring stations, Wadala Truck Terminal recorded the highest AQI reading at 92, followed by Parel-Bhoiwada (90) and Mulund West (88). Santacruz East and Bhandup West both registered an AQI of 87, keeping them within the moderate range.
Cleaner air was observed in several western suburbs, where Kandivali East recorded an AQI of 45, falling in the good category. Malad West (59), Powai (62), Jogeshwari (65), and Borivali East (67) were all categorised as moderate, suggesting a consistent improvement across the city’s landscape.
As per AQI.in’s classification, an index between 0–50 is considered “Good,” 51–100 “Moderate,” 101–150 “Poor,” 151–200 “Unhealthy,” and anything above 200 is deemed “Severe” or “Hazardous.”

State ready for Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayat Mahayuti elections: Chief Minister Fadnavis

In the Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayat elections in Mumbai state, Mahayuti will contest the election as a united front and even where there is no electoral consensus in Mahayuti, there will be a friendly contest and it is hoped that the people of the state will trust Mahayuti in these elections. This claim has been made by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. No formula for the distribution of seats in Mahayuti has been decided so far for the local body elections. However, where the alliance party and the BJP are strong, a formula for a solo contest has been decided, just like the talk of Eknath Shinde in Thana and BJP’s solo contest in Pune is common.
Fadnavis criticized Uddhav Thackeray and said that it is his job to insult him. If he is visiting the state, it is a good thing, but the people know everything and they will restore faith in Mahayuti in the elections. He said that the Election Commission has announced the elections. Uddhav Thackeray and the opposition want to postpone the elections, so they are alleging irregularities and rigging in the voting list. However, the Supreme Court has issued instructions to hold the elections soon, so it is not possible to postpone or delay the elections. Fadnavis expressed confidence that he has faith in the people. This time too, the people will agree with Mahayuti. Therefore, the opposition wants to postpone and postpone the elections, while Mahayuti is ready for the elections.
