Mumbai’s SPL Court allowed NCP minister Nawab Malik to undergo private treatment

NCP minister Nawab Malik has got the permission to get his treatment done at a private hospital, after Nawab Malik’s tests are still undone by state-run JJ hospital. On Friday Malik’s lawyers as well as the counsel for the Enforcement Directorate (ED) told the court that over the past week, Malik was taken to JJ Hospital and Sion Hospital for tests but was not admitted despite the court’s order.

Seeing his health condition getting worse with time, special court in Mumbai allowed Nawab malik to be admitted in a private hospital for further treatment and proper care. However, the court rejected his medical bail.
NCP Minister Nawab Malik was arrested in money laundering case and being linked to 1993 Mumbai blast master mind, Dawood Ibrahim.

Malik’s lawyer said that instead of being taken from one hospital to another, he should be admitted and made to undergo all required tests and treatment. He also submitted that he will bear the expenses of the treatment and police escorts required to guard him. Therefore, Nawab malik had filed an interim bail plea for six weeks and sought permission to be referred to a private hospital for sugery.

Mumbai: Demonstration in support of Palestine in Mumbai proved costly for the protesters when the police detained the protesters demonstrating in support of Palestine from midnight. The leaders who had announced to protest in different areas of Mumbai to express sympathy for Palestine were stopped by the police from going to Azad Maidan from midnight. Chunabhatti police detained Miraj Siddiqui, Gurgaon police detained Comrade Prakash Reddy, MIDC police detained Firoz Mithi Borwala.

The protesters had sought permission to protest in support of Palestine, but the police refused to give permission, while the protesters had warned them against protesting. Firoz Mithi Borwala said that the police detained us from midnight to stop us from protesting. He said that after the threat from Hindu extremist organization Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bajrang Dal, the police took this action to crush the protest. Hindu organizations had clearly threatened that if Muslims protest against Israel, they will take to the streets in support of Israel. It was only after this threat that the police took action against the protesters in support of Palestine, which is completely illegal. Mumbai Police said that the permission has been canceled to maintain law and order. Police has issued an alert in Mumbai.

Rail services affected due to heavy rains in Mumbai

Mumbai: Due to heavy rains in Mumbai city and suburbs, Powai lake has overflowed and the water level of many lakes has risen, but local train services have also been affected due to the rain. Trains on the Western Line of Central Railway are also running late by 15 to 20 minutes. The rain since last night has affected the normal urban system. Rain has been predicted in Mumbai for the next 24 hours.

According to the BMC, normal life is going on despite the rain. BEST buses faced traffic jams due to rain, while traffic system was also affected due to rain in suburban areas. Good rain has also been recorded in Kurla, Sakinaka, Andheri, Mumbai and Santacruz.

Mumbai ATM robbery gang busted, 4 arrested

Mumbai: Mumbai Police has busted an international gang that looted cash by opening the lock of Nehru Nagar Abu Dhabi Bank ATM with a fake key and claimed to have arrested four accused. On June 7 at 6:30 am, unknown thieves stole from the ATM. After that, the police registered a case and on the instructions of local DCP Sameer Sheikh, it was taken seriously and various teams were formed. Using CCTV cameras and modern technology, the police caught the accused. In this case, the police have arrested 29-year-old Jasvir Singh, 31-year-old Salakhvir Singh, 27-year-old Gurpreet Singh and 37-year-old Rachpal Singh of Punjab. The accused had committed the theft only for drugs. Therefore, Mumbai Police has busted the Udta Punjab gang that committed theft in Mumbai. Along with this, the police has also seized the Skoda car used in the theft from the possession of the accused. Further investigation of the case is going on.
