Mumbai: Minister Dhananjay Munde, who is at the center of controversy over the murder of a sarpanch in Beed, made startling revelations at the party’s ‘Navsankalp Shibir’ in Shirdi on Sunday.

Minister Dhananjay Munde Warns Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Against Aligning With The BJP

Munde stated that during the early morning oath-taking ceremony on November 23, 2019, he had warned Ajit Pawar against aligning with the BJP. He mentioned that Sunil Tatkare was with them during the conversation. Munde further alleged that this move marked the beginning of a plot to push Ajit Pawar out of the NCP.

Munde further said, “Since I joined the NCP, I have always stood behind Pawar. There were many attempts to portray Pawar as a villain. However, whenever someone attacked him, we stood by him and defended him. In 2019, I had advised not to take the early morning oath, but while they took the oath, I was the one who faced the consequences.”

Addressing his party workers at the event, Munde mentioned that certain individuals were targeting him, particularly in Beed, and emphasised the importance of social harmony in Marathwada.

Minister Dhananjay Munde Expresses His Concerns

Munde expressed his concerns about the deterioration of social cohesion in the region, particularly in light of the killing of Beed sarpanch. He argued that those responsible for the crime should be severely punished.

In a separate development, Munde addressed his removal from the position of Guardian Minister of Beed. He revealed that he had personally requested both Ajit Pawar and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to assign the responsibility of Beed’s development to Ajit Pawar. MP Naresh Mhaske, MLA Sanjay Kelkar, MLA Niranjan Davkhare, District Magistrate Ashok Shingare, Chief Executive Officer Rohan Ghuge, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Swamitva Scheme: A Movement for Rural Development

This scheme simplifies the process of demarcation and ownership of properties in rural areas. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, “Even today, many citizens in villages do not have concrete proof of their properties, which leads to land disputes, court cases and other problems. The ownership scheme launched by the Modi government is an important revolution in the development of rural India.”

He further said, “This scheme is not just a certificate of property, but a ‘self-respect card’ for the poor. Through this scheme, the lives of many families have changed and the doors of banks have opened for them for property loans.”

Use of drone and GIS technology

Modern technology is being widely used in the Swamitva scheme. Village land is surveyed through drones and maps are prepared with GIS technology. 2.19 crore property cards have been prepared in the country and maps of 15,327 villages have been finalized in Maharashtra.

Beneficiaries got relief

Referring to Baliram Manekar of Bhiwandi, who was present at the program, Shinde said, “Under the Swamitva scheme, he got the ownership of his land, after which he got a loan of 60 lakhs from the bank and he became self-reliant.”

Instructions of the Deputy Chief Minister

At the end of the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shinde instructed the officials that “Proper planning should be done to complete the scheme within the time limit and in the right manner. This scheme should not be just on paper, but should become a strong step towards the development of rural areas.”
