Production banner Abundantia Entertainment have acquired the rights of journalist, Pavan C. Lall’s book based on scam-accused Nirav Modi titled ‘Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India’s Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi’ will be adapted into a dramatised, multi-season series for streaming.
Scripting is presently underway. The book, “Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India’s Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi” depicts the story of high-profile tycoon Nirav Modi, one of the biggest diamond merchants in India.
It is based on personal encounters, interviews, and research conducted by the author, investigative journalist, Pavan C. Lall, who will also serve as a consultant writer for the series adaptation.
Author Pavan C. Lall said: “It is an extremely exciting opportunity, and I am thrilled to be a part of this book-to-screen adaptation journey.”
The book narrates detailed and fascinating aspects of Nirav Modi’s rise to power and his subsequent fall, unravelling the persona of the man behind one of the biggest financial scandals in India that amounted to around Rs 13,500 crore-worth of illegal transaction leaving the PNB account holders at severe dismay.
Lall added: “Capturing the sensibility of a book in a cinematic way is not a simple task but I have full faith in Abundantia Entertainment and believe that they will do complete justice to this endeavour and give ‘Flawed’ the appropriate visual mounting.”
The author also shared that the book is his effort to bring to the audience “the tale of a larger-than-life entrepreneur — his spectacular rise and equally dramatic fall which brought an entire industry to its knees”.

Thamma, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 3: Bhai Dooj Holiday Fails To Give A Boost To Both Movies

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Thamma and Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat clashed at the box office on Diwali. However, both films took a good start according to the genre and the screens they got. While Thamma collected Rs. 24 crore on its day one, EDKD collected Rs. 9 crore.
On its day two, as expected, both movies showed a drop, and now, on its day three which was a holiday (Bhai Dooj), the films have once again shown a drop in the collection.
According to Sacnilk, Thamma, on its third day, collected approximately Rs. 12.50 crore, and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat collected approximately Rs. 6 crore. So, the Ayushmann-Rashmika starrer has collected Rs. 55.10 crore, and the Harshvardhan-Sonam starrer has collected Rs. 22.75 crore in three days.
Thamma is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 140-145 crore. So, the film needs to show a huge jump at the box office over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). If the collection further drops, then it won’t be a good sign for the movie.
Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 30 crore, so the film is in a safe zone. In the next couple of days, it will surpass its budget. But, to become a hit, the movie needs to continue to be steady at the box office in the coming days.
Meanwhile, on Friday, which is a working day, it expected that both movie will once again show a drop in collection. However, it will be interesting to see whether they will collect a good amount during the weekend or not.

Khushi Mukherjee: Ex-Splitsvilla Contestant & Actress Throws Firecrackers On Road After Being Involved In Verbal Spat Over Damage To Her Car In Lokhandwala

Mumbai: A circulating online shows former Splitsvilla contestant and actress Khushi Mukherjee in a heated argument with firecracker vendors in the Lokhandwala area of Andheri West. The incident, which reportedly occurred during the Diwali season, shows the actress visibly agitated as she throws firecrackers onto the road and confronts the sellers after her car was allegedly hit by an autorickshaw while passing through the area.
In the viral video clip shared by local news portal, a blue Mercedes sedan, claimed to belong to Khushi, is seen parked on the side of the road as the confrontation unfolds. An irate Khushi can be heard saying, “Sabko Diwali manana hai, meri gadi thok ke chala gaya aur tumko yaha patakha bechna hai,” expressing her frustration over the autorickshaw driver fleeing after the collision. Amid the chaos, one of the vendors can be heard warning others, “Isko samjhaao, iska zyada ho raha hai, maar khaa ke jayega ab,” indicating the rising tension at the scene.
The further shows Khushi engaging in a heated exchange with a police officer present at the location. She is heard shouting, “Ye log jo karte hai wo chalta hai? Meri gadi thok ke gaya rickshaw wala. Apka 100 number nahi lagta hai. Meri gadi kyun thuki?” The officer can be seen trying to calm her down, but Khushi continues to throw firecrackers, further escalating the argument.
While the exact date of the incident remains unclear, the presence of shops selling Diwali firecrackers in the background suggests it happened recently. So far, there have been no reports of any formal complaint or legal action related to the altercation.
Khushi Mukherjee, 28, is a television actress and model who has worked across South Indian films, and digital platforms. She began her career with the Tamil film Anjal Thurai (2013) and later appeared in Telugu projects such as Donga Prema and Heart Attack, as well as the Hindi film Shringaar.

Thamma Box Office Collection Day 1: Ayushmann Khurrana & Rashmika Mandanna Starrer Takes A Bumper Opening

Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, was one of the most-awaited films of the year. The film received mixed reviews from critics and the audience, but it managed to take a bumper opening at the box office because of the Diwali festival.
According to Sacnilk, the film has collected approximately Rs. 24 crore, which is a very good number. Thamma has given Ayushmann his biggest opening till date. Meanwhile, Rashmika had bigger openings with films like Chhaava and Pushpa 2.
Now, it will be interesting to see how the film performs in the upcoming days. The holiday factor has worked in Thamma’s favour, but let’s see how much the movie will collect on regular working days, and during the upcoming weekend (Saturday, Sunday).
Thamma is a Maddock Horror Comedy Universe film, so the audience was excited to watch it as the makers had hinted that there are a few interesting cameos in the movie. However, many critics and audiences have stated that it is the weakest film in MHCU.
The Free Press Journal reviewer gave Thamma 2.5 stars and wrote, “With Stree and Stree 2 being blockbusters, one expected these films to pave the smooth entry for Thamma. Because of the film’s VFX and Diwali holidays, one can expect the film to do brisk business. But, eventually, the real test will start after the holidays.”
The next movie in Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is Shakti Shalini which stars Saiyaara fame Aneet Padda in the lead role. The announcement of the movie was attached with Thamma, and it has gone viral on social media.
The audience is quite excited for the upcoming movies like MHCU like Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Stree 2, Chhoti Stree (animation), Munjhya 2, and others.
