As ‘Kyunki Saas …’ is re-telecast, Amar Upadhyay looks back at its 22 years

Popular actor Amar Upadhyay donned the role of Mihir in the iconic show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, which went on air 22 years ago. The show is now is being re-telecasted on public demand and Amar’s character and his acting is highly appreciated even after two decades.
Amar feels blessed to be a part of the show and talking about the same, the actor says: “Recently Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, completed 22 years. God has been kind to me for this show. It is an iconic show even today and I feel blessed that I got this role between so many boys who auditioned for it.”
“I am very thankful to Ekta and whole team of Balaji for giving me a chance and I’m very happy that I’m a part of it. Even after 20 years people still recognise me as Mihir.”
He further states: “Once in a blue moon this kind of a show comes in. Thousands of shows have been made but none has touched the level of ‘Kyunki’. It’s not easy to match that level. Also, that era was different and this era is different. Audience has changed. Television viewing has shift. It is difficult to reach the level of Kyunki now.”
Talking about the popularity and work the show gave him, Amar says: “One has to keep doing what they love. Acting is what I love and I am thankful to God for giving me such great acting jobs. I’d also like to thank my fans and audience for always supporting me and for appreciating my work. I enjoy when people come to me, that is what you want as an actor.”
On the work front, Amar Upadhyay was last seen in the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Priyanka Chopra finally reveals daughter Malti Marie’s face; photos go viral

Actor Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas have finally revealed their daughter Malti Marie’s face.
The actor was attending an event in Los Angeles where Nick with his brothers Kevin and Joe unveiled their Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
Photos of Malti Marie has now gone viral on social media. Some netizens even called her a “carbon copy of her dad” Nick.
Priyanka Chopra’s family
Priyanka and Nick welcomed Malti via surrogacy in January 2022 and since her arrival, the actor had posted several photos of her but without revealing her face.
Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in a Christian and a Hindu ceremony in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 1 and 2 in 2018. Later, the couple also hosted two receptions in Delhi and Mumbai.
When Priyanka opened up on Malti’s birth
A few days ago, PeeCee finally broke her silence on her daughter’s birth and revealed why the couple opted for surrogacy. She had mentioned that she had certain medical complications and hence, they decided to go for surrogacy. She also slammed people accusing her of “outsourcing” her pregnancy and stated that her daughter won’t be a part of any gossip.
“I was in the operation room when she came out. She was so small, smaller than my hand. We spent every single day with her on my chest, on my husband’s chest,” PeeCee recalled.
She had also made it clear that people can comment on her as per their whims and fancies, but she will not let her daughter be “gossip”.

Bombay HC extends relief to Rakhi Sawant till February 1 in case filed by Sherlyn Chopra

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday extended relief to Rakhi Sawant till February 1 in a case registered against her by another model.
Justice MS Karnik extended order of no coercive action Ms Sawant till February 1 as the complaint sought to file an intervention application.
A model and actor had filed an FIR against Ms Sawant alleging that the latter circulated her obscene videos to the media and made derogatory statements against her.
Amboli police had booked Ms Sawant and her lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt on November 8, 2022, under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 500 (defamation), 504 (intentional insult) and 509 (insulting modesty of woman by act, word or gesture) of the Indian Penal Code and section 67 (transmission of obscene content in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act.

ABHM activists booked for ‘Pathaan’ protest

A case has been registered against activists of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) who protested at a cinema hall in Agra against screening of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Pathaan’.
SHO, Rakabganj, Pradeep Kumar said that the incident occurred within the limits of Rakabganj police station of Agra where a case was registered against five or six unidentified people.
Meanwhile, a Home Department spokesperson said that the state police has been directed to maintain vigil on outfits that have given a boycott call or plan to oppose the release of the movie on Wednesday.
The police have been also directed to take action against anti-social elements as well as maintain law and order.
