One thing that Sanam Teri Kasam re-release success has proved it that the audience is craving to watch good romantic films, and clearly they are not getting it now, so that’s why a re-release is getting such a good response. The Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane starrer in four days has collected Rs. 18.50 crore which is excellent. When the film had originally released in 2016, its lifetime collection was Rs. 11.10 crore, and it was a box office dud.

Now, with Sanam Teri Kasam re-release getting such a great response, fans of Salman Khan are demanding a re-release of Tere Naam. The 2003 also starred Bhumika Chawla in the lead role, and while it was an average grosser at the box office, the film has received a cult status.

A fan of Salman Khan posted on X, “#TereNaam a film if re-releases then surely gonna create more wonders than #SanamTeriKasam #SalmanKhan poured his heart & soul into ‘Radhe’ bringing to life a character that’s both traumatized & immortalized a generation. Jeevan Apna Sara Sanam.”

Another fan wrote, “If this film RE-RELEASE … 50-100Cr WW movie. #Trending #Terenaam #SalmanaKhan.” One more fan posted on X, “Ek baar Tere Naam Re-release kar ke Dekho. Alag level ka craze hoga bhai. Theatre will be filled and trend will be back again #SalmanKhan #TereNaam.”

Tere Naam was directed by Satish Kaushik, and Salman gave one of the best performances of his career in the movie. The movie was reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 10 crore, and it had collected Rs. 14.53 crore nett at the domestic box office. The worldwide gross collection Tere Naam was Rs. 22.23 crore. Mumbai: The Mumbai police are conducting a preliminary inquiry into digital content creators Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, who host India’s Got Latent. On Tuesday, the police sent a summons to both of them. A police team arrived at Allahbadia’s residence, located near Seven Bungalows, Andheri West, at Bay View Building, and will be questioning him and Raina there. The police are investigating a controversial video clip. In India’s Got Latent, Allahbadia made a comment that created outrage and was alleged to be vulgar and obscene. The comment faced criticism from various platforms, including political, social, legal, and women’s rights organisations.

Earlier today, a team of Mumbai Police reached Ranveer Allahbadia’s house in the city’s Versova area.

According to reports, the Parliamentary IT Panel is mulling over whether to summon Allahbadia following Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi’s statement on Monday, in which she stated that she would raise the issue before the Panel.

After the backlash, Ranveer issued an apology and called it a ‘lapse in judgment.’ He said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise.”

Ranveer Allahbadia issues apology, shares learnings from controversial incident

Mumbai, Feb 10: YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology after his controversial remarks on the “India’s Got Latent” show sparked widespread criticism.

Allahbadia, who is known for his BeerBiceps brand, took to social media to express regret over his comment, admitting that it was “not appropriate” and “not even funny.” In a video statement, Ranveer said, “My comment was not appropriate, was not even funny, comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I use my platform, obviously this is not how I wished to use it.”

He added, “I am not going to give any context, any justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just offering an apology. I personally had a lapse in my judgment; it was not cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people from all ages and don’t want to a kind of person that takes responsibility, family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect. Need to use this platform better; that’s been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to get better; I have asked the makers to remove the insensitive segment from the video. I am sorry; I hope you can forgive me as a human being.”

Sharing the video, Allahbadia wrote on his X handle, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry.”

His apology comes after he received severe backlash on social media for his vulgar comment.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also slammed Ranveer saying anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face appropriate action.

Addressing the media, CM said, “I have been informed about this, though I have not watched it yet. I came to know that it was very vulgar, and this was wrong. Everyone has freedom of speech, but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom. Everyone has limits, if anyone crosses them, action will be taken.”

Two lawyers from Mumbai have filed a police complaint against Allahbadia.

Recently, Ranveer appeared on Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent” along with other content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija. Allahbadia raised eyebrows for asking an inappropriate question to a contestant. He asked the female contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”

The complaint has been lodged with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, with the complainant demanding strict action against the accused.
