Sara Ali Khan Was REJECTED For Tripti Dimri’s Role In Animal

Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film, Animal, has been making headlines ever since it hit the big screens on December 1. And if there is one person who has intrigued the audience more than the lead actors, it is actress Tripti Dimri, who played the role of Zoya in the film. Tripti is garnering immense love and appreciation for her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film. Some of her bold and steamy scenes with Ranbir have also gone viral on social media.

If reports are to be believed, actress Sara Ali Khan had also auditioned for Zoya’s role in Animal. While Parineeti Chopra was supposed to play the lead role, Sara auditioned for the second lead.

Sara reportedly liked the script of the film and had expressed a strong desire to be a part of it. However, a report in ETimes states that Sandeep Reddy Vanga was not enthusiastic about casting her.

The report further mentioned that Sandeep was convinced that she ‘wouldn’t be a suitable fit for the role and might not effectively portray such a bold character’. However, Sara has not reacted to the reports yet.

Meanwhile, Sara was last seen with Vicky Kaushal in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which did decent business at the box office. She will next be seen on the big screens in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur. Billed as an anthology, the film also features Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta in lead roles.

Sara also has thriller-drama Ae Watan Mere Watan in her kitty. The fictional tale is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942.

Mumbai: The Mumbai police are conducting a preliminary inquiry into digital content creators Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, who host India’s Got Latent. On Tuesday, the police sent a summons to both of them. A police team arrived at Allahbadia’s residence, located near Seven Bungalows, Andheri West, at Bay View Building, and will be questioning him and Raina there. The police are investigating a controversial video clip. In India’s Got Latent, Allahbadia made a comment that created outrage and was alleged to be vulgar and obscene. The comment faced criticism from various platforms, including political, social, legal, and women’s rights organisations.

Earlier today, a team of Mumbai Police reached Ranveer Allahbadia’s house in the city’s Versova area.

According to reports, the Parliamentary IT Panel is mulling over whether to summon Allahbadia following Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi’s statement on Monday, in which she stated that she would raise the issue before the Panel.

After the backlash, Ranveer issued an apology and called it a ‘lapse in judgment.’ He said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise.”

Mumbai, Feb 10: YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology after his controversial remarks on the “India’s Got Latent” show sparked widespread criticism.

Allahbadia, who is known for his BeerBiceps brand, took to social media to express regret over his comment, admitting that it was “not appropriate” and “not even funny.” In a video statement, Ranveer said, “My comment was not appropriate, was not even funny, comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I use my platform, obviously this is not how I wished to use it.”

He added, “I am not going to give any context, any justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just offering an apology. I personally had a lapse in my judgment; it was not cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people from all ages and don’t want to a kind of person that takes responsibility, family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect. Need to use this platform better; that’s been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to get better; I have asked the makers to remove the insensitive segment from the video. I am sorry; I hope you can forgive me as a human being.”

Sharing the video, Allahbadia wrote on his X handle, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry.”

His apology comes after he received severe backlash on social media for his vulgar comment.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also slammed Ranveer saying anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face appropriate action.

Addressing the media, CM said, “I have been informed about this, though I have not watched it yet. I came to know that it was very vulgar, and this was wrong. Everyone has freedom of speech, but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom. Everyone has limits, if anyone crosses them, action will be taken.”

Two lawyers from Mumbai have filed a police complaint against Allahbadia.

Recently, Ranveer appeared on Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent” along with other content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija. Allahbadia raised eyebrows for asking an inappropriate question to a contestant. He asked the female contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”

The complaint has been lodged with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, with the complainant demanding strict action against the accused.

Mumbai, Feb 10: Amid the controversy surrounding podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s vulgar remark, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face appropriate action.

These vampires, these perverts, have taken a pledge to make our coming generation devoid of values.”

The lyricist continued, “This is an alarm for parents. Wake up, or you will witness the destruction of your children and your great nation with your own eyes. @MIB_India Immediate action should be taken against all the gentlemen in this panel. If you just stop after reading this post and do not raise your voice, you will be responsible for your own downfall.”

This is not the first time “India’s Got Latent” has attracted controversy. Last week, a case was filed against a contestant from Arunachal Pradesh due to her controversial remark about dog meat.
