Sai Pallavi overwhelmed by ‘Virata Parvam’ pre-release praise

‘Virata Parvam’, the next film starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi, had its pre-release event on Wednesday at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad. Sai Pallavi, who received a huge shoutout, was dubbed ‘Lady Powerstar’ by the audience.

When Sai Pallavi took the platform to speak to the audience, she was met with thunderous applause.

Overwhelmed, the ‘Fidaa’ actress thanked everyone for attending the occasion, especially Venkatesh, who she said had infused her with so much positivity.

Sai Pallavi requested that everyone attend the screening of ‘Virata Parvam’ on June 17, stating that the film will pleasantly surprise everyone because it is not what anyone would expect.

Venkatesh and Ram Charan were meant to be the event’s main guests, while Ram Charan was unable to attend owing to a flight delay, Venkatesh was present.

In his remarks, Rana Daggubati apologised on behalf of Ram Charan to all of his fans for the actor’s absence on the occasion.

Director Venu Udugula and several technicians were also present at the pre-release ceremony.

‘Virata Parvam’ is slated to release on June 17 and features a large cast.

Mumbai, Jan 6: Actress-filmmaker and parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut’s film “Emergency” is all set to hit the screens on January 17 and she says that the story isn’t just about a controversial leader as it delves into themes that remain profoundly relevant today.

The new trailer, which was dropped on Monday morning, delivers even more intensity and political firepower than the first, capturing the tumultuous days of 1975 and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s infamous declaration, “Indira is India.”

Kangana Ranaut says, “After a long journey filled with challenges, I’m glad that our film Emergency will finally hit the big screen on 17th January. This story isn’t just about a controversial leader; it delves into themes that remain profoundly relevant today, making the journey both difficult and significant.”

The film brings to life the characters of Jayaprakash Narayan’s fiery protests to young Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Pupul Jayakar, and Jagjivan Ram in the gripping drama.

Kangana added: “Releasing just a week before Republic Day, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the resilience of our Constitution and experience the film with your loved ones.”

Producer Umesh KR Bansal says, “As we mark 50 years since the 1975 Emergency, this film isn’t just a historical retelling—it’s a reflection on the resilience of democracy and a tribute to those who fought to protect it.”

“Emergency is a cinematic milestone that challenges audiences to question, engage, and remember the cost of freedom,” he added.

Written, directed, and headlined by Kangana herself, Emergency also features a stellar cast, including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in his final performance.

Produced by Zee Studios, Manikarnika Films, and Renu Pitti, with music by Sanchit Balhara and G.V. Prakash Kumar, the film is set to hit theaters on January 17, 2025.

Kiara Advani Hospitalised In Mumbai Amid Game Changer Promotions

Bollywood actress Kiara Advani, who is gearing up for the release of Game Changer with Ram Charan, has been hospitalised in Mumbai. Due to her health issues, she was unable to attend the film’s promotional event in Goregaon on Saturday (January 4).

The actress was originally scheduled to attend the press meet of Game Changer with Ram Charan, however, she was unable to make it. During the event, the host announced that she has been hospitalised but no further details regarding the cause of Kiara’s illness have been disclosed as of now.

The actress appeared on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Salman Khan’s reality show, Bigg Boss 18, on Friday. She also interacted with the contestants and assigned them interesting tasks.

Several pictures and videos of the actress from the sets of the show have been doing the rounds on social media.

Amitabh Bachchan Drops Post On India Mourning Deaths Of National Heroes Beyond Religion, Actress Nafisa Ali Says ‘You Should Be President’

Indian megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is quite active on social media, took to his Instagram handle in the wee hours of Friday and shared a post stating how the nation mourned the loss of some eminent personalities in 2024 by looking beyond their religion.

Big B shared a cartoon showing the late Ratan Tata, former PM Manmohan Singh, tabla legend Zakir Hussain and filmmaker Shyam Benegal, all in heaven. “A Parsi, a Muslim, a Sikh and a Hindu passed away in 2024 and the whole nation mourned and remembered them only as Indians,” the post read.

Sharing it on his handle, Big B wrote, “The picture says it all”.

As soon as he shared the post, netizens lauded his thought and said how this inclusivity was the true essence of India. However, it was a comment by veteran actress Nafisa Ali that caught everyone’s attention.

The Life In A…Metro actress commented under Big B’s post: “Deeply touched by your thoughts today… You should the President of India… wishing you health, happiness and heartfelt peace (sic).”

The former chairperson of the Tata Group, Ratan Tata, sent the entire nation into mourning as he passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 86. Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain breathed his last on December 15, and his death was followed by filmmaker Shyam Benegal’s demise on December 23. Ex-PM Manmohan Singh passed away on December 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Big B has his hands full with multiple projects in his kitty. While the actor is set to play key roles in the second part of Kalki 2898 AD and Section 84, he is also currently shooting as the host for his popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
