The makers of the much anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone announced the new release date. Taking to Instagram, Prabhas also treated fans with his first look poster along with the release announcement.

Sharing the poster, he wrote, “The countdown to the future has begun! #Kalki2898AD in theatres worldwide on 9th May 2024.”

The film, which was expected to release on January 12, will now hit the big screens on May 9.

As soon as the news was shared, fans chimed in the comment section. One of the users wrote, “Theatres will blast.”

Going the extra mile, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ executed a grand release date announcement through raiders across multiple cities Pan-India, including Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Bhimavaram, Kashmir, and Vijayawada.

During the event, the raiders marched together, building anticipation and unveiled the scroll in a unique and exciting way, announcing the film’s release date as May 9, 2024.

The film also features Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ made waves after its groundbreaking debut at San Diego Comic-Con last year, earning massive global acclaim.

Actress and former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed visited Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings. On Wednesday (November 8), the fashionista shared several pictures and a video to give a glimpse of her visit. Urfi was accompanied by her sister Dolly Javed.

In the visuals, Urfi is seen wearing a pink ethnic suit. She covered her head with a dupatta. One of the photos shows her posing with folded hands in front of the temple. She also shared a picture of kada prasad.

On November 3, the Mumbai Police issued a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter) reacting to Uorfi’s fake arrest video that went viral on social media. The police also registered a criminal case against those involved in the video. It also said that the fake police inspector from the video has been arrested.

“One Can’t Violate Law Of The Land, For Cheap Publicity! A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police, in a case of obscenity is not true – insignia & uniform has been misused. However, a criminal case has been registered against those involved in the misleading video, at Oshiwara Pstn under sections 171, 419, 500, 34 IPC,” the post read. It further read, “While further investigation is on, the fake inspector is under arrest & the vehicle has been seized too. #RealityCheck”The FIR was filed after a video of Uorfi went viral in which in which she was being arrested by two women dressed as police officers. She was seen taken into a vehicle by the women. The video sparked concerns over Uorfi’s arrest. However, the actress later revealed that it was a promotional stunt.

Earlier too, several complaints and FIRs have been lodged against the actress for her choice of clothes and for “obscene acts in public and on social media”.

However, Uorfi remains unfazed by the hate and she has time and again stated that she will continue dressing up as she likes and that she will not be bogged down by trolls.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s Gadar 2 is all set to hit the screens on August 11. Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film also stars Utkarsh Sharma and will be facing a big Bollywood clash with Akshay Kumar’s upcoming drama film OMG 2. Now, reports suggest the stark difference between the fees paid to Gadar 2 lead pair. 

According to a report, Sunny Deol charged a whopping Rs 20 crore for the film, while Ameesha Patel was paid only Rs 50 lakh. Meanwhile, Utkarsh Sharma, who plays their son was paid Rs 1 crore as per a report in Jagran. On the other hand, Gaurav Chopra has been paid 25 lakh, while Manish Wadhwa charged Rs 60 lakh. 

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha spoke about the pay parity in the film industry and even justified it. She said, “Pay parity doesn’t exist in Bollywood and it never will. It doesn’t even exist in Hollywood also. To be very honest, a film does ride on a hero’s shoulders. Why are we running away from that? I can say I want the same pay as my male co-star, but the truth is, the film is selling because of the hero, so he deserves it.”

She added, “I will never say I want the same pay as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol, or Akshay Kumar. The audience is coming for them. Yes, we do add a considerable amount in a significant role if we deliver but how many female-oriented films have done those kinds of box office numbers that even a solo hero film can do? So, why should we fool ourselves?”

The epic tale of patriotism, love, and sacrifice of Tara and Sakeena in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha broke multiple records back in 2001. Now, the makers are all set to entertain the audiences with the film’s second instalment. Gadar 2 showcases Tara Singh and Sakeena’s legacy, set amidst the tumultuous ‘Crush India Movement’ of 1971 and Tara Singh going all the way to Pakistan to save his kid, Charan Jeet Singh from the Pakistani Army.
