Around 5:30 p.m., the Prime Minister will arrive at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, where he will launch, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects related to the road, railways, and ports sector worth more than Rs 29,400 crore.

The Prime Minister is also set to lay the foundation stone for tunnel work at the Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Project, worth over Rs 6,300 crore.
About The Goregaon Mulund Link Road Project
The GMLR envisages road connectivity from the Western Express Highway at Goregaon to the Eastern Express Highway at Mulund. The total length of the GMLR is approximately 6.65 kilometres and will provide direct connectivity for the Western suburbs to the new proposed airport at Navi Mumbai and the Pune-Mumbai Expressway.
Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the Kalyan Yard Remodelling and Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal at Turbhe in Navi Mumbai. The Kalyan Yard will help in the segregation of long-distance and suburban traffic.

Platforms No. 10 and 11 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Station have been extended by 382 meters with a cover shed and washable apron, augmenting the trains to up to 24 coaches and thus increasing passenger capacity.
Prime Minister Modi will also launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana with an outlay of around Rs 5,600 crore. This transformative internship program aims to address youth unemployment by providing opportunities for skill enhancement and industry exposure for youth aged 18 to 30 years.

Delhi Police bust ‘digital arrest’ cyber fraud syndicate, nab three from Bengal

New Delhi, July 1: The Cyber Police Station in Delhi’s South District has busted an organised ‘digital arrest’ cyber fraud syndicate and arrested three alleged members from West Bengal in connection with a Rs 7.22 lakh online fraud case, officials said on Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Samiran Roy of South 24 Parganas, Prince Shaw of Howrah, and Samar Chatterjee of Howrah. According to the police, none of the three has any previous criminal record.
The arrests were made during raids conducted in South 24 Parganas and Howrah after an extensive financial and technical investigation. Police said the operation exposed the banking infrastructure of an interstate and international cyber fraud network.
The case came to light after a woman, identified as ‘M.S.’, lodged a complaint alleging that she had been duped of Rs 7.22 lakh in a ‘digital arrest’ scam. Based on her complaint, an e-FIR (No. 365/2026) dated June 6 was registered at Cyber Police Station, South District, under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to the police, the fraudsters impersonated officials from the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and senior IPS officers. They allegedly kept the victim under continuous WhatsApp video calls, falsely claiming she was under investigation, and pressured her into transferring Rs 7.22 lakh through RTGS.
The investigation was carried out by a team comprising Sub-Inspector Udai Singh, Head Constables Vikas Kumar and Praveen Kumar, Constables Praveen Joon, Sultan and Subhash under the leadership of Inspector Hansraj Swami, SHO, Cyber South Police Station, and the overall supervision of the ACP (Operations), South District.
During the probe, investigators found that the defrauded money was initially transferred to a Bandhan Bank account allegedly operated by Samiran Roy and Prince Shaw before being routed through multiple bank accounts to conceal the money trail. Technical analysis of digital evidence also revealed links with cyber fraudsters operating from Thailand and Myanmar.
Police said the accused were involved in supplying mule bank accounts, SIM cards and banking credentials to organised cybercriminals. The syndicate allegedly arranged bank accounts into which victims transferred money after being intimidated through fake ‘digital arrest’ calls.
During the raids, police recovered six mobile phones, one HP Victus laptop, 18 debit and credit cards, seven cheque books, 15 SIM cards, two rubber stamps and six Aadhaar cards.
Delhi Police said further investigation is underway to identify other members of the syndicate, trace the proceeds of crime and uncover the network’s interstate and international links.

CM Vijay convenes first alliance meet today to formalise ruling coalition, chart common political strategy

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK president C. Joseph Vijay is set to convene the first meeting of the parties supporting his government on Wednesday evening, in a move aimed at formally consolidating the ruling coalition, strengthening coordination among allies and laying the groundwork for a stable five-year administration.
The meeting will be held at the Fisherman’s Cove resort in Kovalam near Chennai and will bring together leaders of parties that extended support to the TVK after its victory in the 2026 Assembly election.
It will be the first formal coalition meeting chaired by Vijay since assuming office.
TVK emerged as the single largest party in the Assembly after winning 108 seats. Before the election, Vijay had announced that any party joining hands with the TVK would have a share in governance and power. However, no party entered into a pre-poll alliance with the TVK.
Following the election results, Congress became the first party to extend support to the TVK government. It was later joined by the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), MDMK and several other parties.
In recent weeks, a number of AIADMK legislators have also resigned from their Assembly seats and joined the TVK, further strengthening the ruling party’s position.
Sources said CM Vijay is expected to personally thank the alliance leaders for their continued support to the government and discuss the creation of a formal secular coalition under the leadership of the TVK.
The meeting is also expected to deliberate on naming the alliance, with “Secular Social Justice Alliance” and “Tamil Nadu Progressive Social Justice Alliance” among the suggestions under consideration.
Leaders of the Congress, VCK, MDMK and IUML are expected to attend the meeting.
The CPI and CPI(M), which have announced that they are extending only outside support to the government and are not part of the alliance, will not be attending the meeting.
Members of Parliament and MLAs from the supporting parties are also likely to participate.
The meeting is expected to discuss the appointment of alliance coordinators and the formation of a common steering committee to improve coordination among coalition partners.
Leaders are also likely to chalk out a joint strategy for the forthcoming local body elections and Assembly by-elections.
Key state issues, including the Cauvery River dispute, the Mekedatu Dam project and the two-language policy, are also expected to figure prominently in the discussions.
The alliance partners are likely to present their priorities for governance and explore ways to incorporate them into the government’s policy agenda.
