Mumbai: After the communal tension in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, the situation is now peaceful, but the tension is still there due to the unilateral action after the visit of BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. The police have registered a case in a children’s dispute, but local Muslims have alleged that the dispute arose over children playing. Kirit Somaiya created pressure in the police station by giving it a religious color and the police have registered a case for rioting, assault and other sections against 4 named and 8 unknown persons, while the police had made it clear that a case will be registered against the other party in this matter as well, but so far the police have not registered a case against the other party, after which the Muslims have alleged that the police have done injustice to them in this matter. A crowd had gathered outside the police station last night. The police registered a unilateral FIR and told the other party that their FIR would also be registered, but so far the FIR of the other party has not been registered, while the FIR registered against them has been registered under serious sections. On this issue, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, after visiting the Ghatkopar police station last night, has instructed the police that this matter is not a case of beating or a dispute between children, but this case is of sedition because the Muslims here had stopped the children from chanting the slogans of Vande Matre and Bharat Mata Ki Jai, after which this violence broke out. He said that how dare these people say that they are opposing Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Matram in India. After Kirit Somaiya allegation, when the tailor Aziz was questioned about the violence, he said that the children were making noise, during which he objected to their chanting of Vande Matre or Bharat Mata Ki Jai. There is no opposition to the slogan of “No” but despite this, it is being given a religious color. He said that the parents of the children entered my shop and tortured me, despite this, the police have not registered any FIR against them so far. Along with this, women living here told outside the police station that the issue of the children is being given a religious color and kirit Somaiya has also trained the children on how to give their statement to the police. After this issue, the situation is now peaceful, but the other side has protested against it and said that the action taken by the police is unilateral and the police is working under the pressure of Kirit Somaiya.

A 46-year-old woman from Mankhurd, Mumbai, had been suffering from health problems like persistent abdominal swelling, abdominal pain and difficulty in breathing for the past two years. In view of these symptoms, she sought treatment at the Outpatient Department (OPD) of the Gynaecology Department at BMC-run Seth Vadelal Chhatrapati Gandhi and Monji Amidas Vora Municipal General Hospital (Rajawadi Hospital) in Ghatkopar. The hospital team successfully removed a tumour weighing around 5.5 kg and measuring 30 cm from the patient’s uterus. As her symptoms worsened significantly, a comprehensive review of her medical history, physical examination and necessary diagnostic tests were conducted. These tests revealed a uterine tumour measuring around 30 cm. Initial diagnosis suggested that the mass was a ‘giant leiomyoma’ (fibroid). All necessary precautions and planning were taken to deal with possible complications during and after the surgery, and the procedure was performed later. Dr. Swadina B. Mohanty, Dr. Shalini Bagaria, Dr. Arva Kamble, and Dr. Kajal Salvi played a key role in the surgery performed by the Gynecology Department. Dr. Shreyash and Dr. Netra, under the guidance of anesthesiologist Dr. Chhavi, managed the anesthesia team. Additionally, surgical staff nurse Neelakshi Guru and her team provided vital support during the surgery. Due to the large size of the tumor and the extensive network of blood vessels, the surgery was performed with utmost care. The 5.5 kg tumor removed during the procedure has been sent for histopathological examination, and the final report is awaited. Post-surgery, the patient received specialized care and was discharged from the hospital on the fifth day in excellent health. Cases of such large uterine tumors are extremely rare.
