If autorickshaw, taxi driver refuses fare then common man can easily complain on WhatsApp.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Transport Authority Secretary and Regional Transport Officer Vijay Ahire has made life easier for common man as they can easily complain against any autorickshaw or taxi drivers who refuses to take any customer ,charges high fares, charge excessive fares, misbehaves or can also report abuses through WhatsApp on 9152240303.
Most of the passengers in Mumbai and Mumbai suburbs are transported by black and yellow taxis and autorickshaws. Complaints are received against rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers who misbehave with passengers, refuse fares, charge more than the prescribed rate.
Regional Transport Office has appealed to the passengers to report the time through message, photo or e-mail on the above WhatsApp number so that there is no difficulty in reporting. Calls will not be accepted. Vehicle number, place, time, brief nature of complaint, complainant’s name, address, mobile number, e-mail ID should be mentioned in the complaint. The Regional Transport Officer has also said that action will be taken against the concerned guilty drivers as per the Motor Vehicle Act and its provisions.

Trees should not be cut during the Holi festival

Mumbai: Citizens of Mumbai should not cut trees in view of the festival of Holi. Mumbai Municipal Corporation has informed that if unauthorized cutting of trees is found, a complaint will be lodged with the police.
The festival of Holi will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13, 2025. If any tree is being cut during this festival, then alert citizens should inform the Mumbai Municipal Corporation officials and the local police station or contact the Municipal Corporation’s toll-free number ‘1916’, such an appeal has been made to the Superintendent of Parks, Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the Member Secretary of the Tree Authority.
Under Section 21 of the Maharashtra (Urban Areas) Tree Protection and Conservation Act, 1975, it is a crime to cut any tree without the prior permission of the Tree Authority. There is a provision to impose a fine of at least Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 on the person concerned for each offense of unauthorized tree felling. He may also be sentenced to a jail term ranging from one week to one year.
Mumbaikars should try to ensure that Mumbai is green and beautiful. It is the duty of all citizens to protect and enhance the natural resources around them. We have to protect the trees that give us life. Therefore, all citizens should cooperate.

Ban on playing Holi in public places in Mumbai

Mumbai: Mumbai Police has issued a special order on Holi, according to which if anyone plays Holi in public places on the day of Holi, then action will be taken against him. There is a ban on blowing and throwing dust and colors in public places. Along with this, the police will also keep an eye on molestation of women. In the special order issued by Mumbai Police, it has been made clear that if anyone does obscene acts and plays Holi in public places from March 12 to March 18, then action will be taken against him. This action will be taken under Section 135 and Police Act. DCP Operation Akbar Pathan has issued this order on the orders of Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar.
According to this order, playing obscene and controversial songs, making obscene acts and gestures, putting up controversial banners and posters and displaying controversial things in public places is prohibited. Throwing balloons or Holi colors on passersby is also prohibited. In such a situation, there is a danger of communal tension and conflict on Holi. In the background of this, the police has issued this order.
The police has issued this order to maintain law and order, which is also being praised. Mumbai Police has deployed tight security around mosques to maintain peace in view of Holi. Along with this, the police has also been ordered to remain alert during Holika Dahan and Dholi Vandana i.e. playing with colors. There will be a strong police presence in sensitive areas as well.
Holi and Friday are on the same day, so Mumbai Police is also on special alert so that no kind of conflict or communal tension or tension arises.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while addressing a press conference organized in the press room of Vidhan Bhavan here after the budget meeting, has described the budget as stable and the most balanced budget. He said that the Maharashtra government has presented a budget of Rs 7 lakh thousand crores.
It is rich and all sections from employment have been taken care of in it and the Finance Minister has maintained the balance of the budget, Maharashtra’s pace in economy and industry has increased. Number one is that development work and road construction work have been done as per the plan by preparing a roadmap, in which repair and construction work of roads is going on from villages to highways, for which funds have been allocated. The central government had provided 13 lakh houses from 2016 to 2022 and now 20,000 houses have been provided. The price of the house is Rs 80 lakh. A subsidy of Rs 50,000 has been given for this. Under the Prime Minister’s Pradhan Mantri Solar Yojana, free electricity from solar energy will be provided to those who use electricity within 300 MW.
Attention has also been given to reducing the cost of agriculture by using AI, drones and biotech and a scheme has also been presented for this. Attention has also been given to providing employment opportunities. The establishment of a society is also underway to make better use of dear sister’s money. Ajit Pawar has presented a wonderful budget. The 11th budget has been presented by Ajit Pawar.
Finance Minister Ajit Pawar said that special attention has been given to all sections in the budget and the budget has been presented on the basis of development. Nagpur has become a steel hub. Rs 500 crore has been allocated for the construction of roads here. Funds have also been allocated for other facilities and infrastructure including airport, railway, metro, sea route and GT. Along with this, Maharashtra is within the debt limit and Maharashtra’s debt is 18.71% while its limit is 25%. Production in agriculture is disappointing. There has also been progress towards increasing it to 8.8%. Efforts have also been made to increase the income of farmers. The government has also allocated funds for other schemes including irrigation.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the government has continued the Ladli Behan scheme. The opposition was only criticizing Ladli Behan, but these three brothers will continue Ladli Behan. Eknath Shinde responded to the opposition’s criticism in his own way and said that there is unity among the three of us and it will remain. He said that in the budget presented by our government today, the chair has definitely changed, but we are united.
