Dunki First Review Out! Boman Irani Has Already Watched Shah Rukh Khan’s Film, Says ‘It Has Turned Out…’

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to end what is perhaps the most successful year of his career with his third film of 2023 — Dunki. While the plot of the film has been kept heavily under wraps, looks like actor Boman Irani has already had the privilege to view it on the big screen, and his review about the same is now out.

Irani recently attended the inauguration ceremony of CINTAA’s brand new facility in Mumbai and it was during the event that he revealed watching Dunki already.

While the veteran actor did not spill much beans, he assured fans saying, “It has turned out well”.

The actor’s comment has only added fuel to the fire as fans of SRK are waiting with bated breath to watch the superstar on the silver screens in a totally new avatar.

Dunki, which is set to hit the silver screens around Christmas this year, is expected to triumph the hype and collections of SRK’s earlier two releases of the year — Pathaan and Jawan.

While Pathaan had emerged to be the biggest film of the year, the record was broken by SRK’s very own Jawan in September, and it is now to be seen if the superstar once again wins in this ‘SRK vs SRK’ battle.

Dunki marks Shah Rukh’s first film with ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani after several missed opportunities. The actor was the first choice for the director’s blockbuster films, Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots, however, SRK could not do both the films for some or the other reasons.

Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu and it is reportedly based on the menace of ‘donkey flights’ wherein people from India migrate to European countries by illegally crossing borders.

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force has received positive reviews from the critics, and even the audience is liking it. Everyone is praising Akshay’s performance, and they are stating that he will win awards for it. While the movie has got a huge release worldwide, reportedly, the movie has been banned in several territories of Middle East.

Sky Force is banned in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and other countries. While it is not yet exactly known why the movie has been banned, an insider told the portal, “Sky Force deals with tensions between India and Pakistan. Some of such films in the past have faced bans in the Middle East and that could be the probable reason.”

While talking about the ban another source said, “Sky Force is not jingoistic and doesn’t indulge in Pakistan bashing as some other films of Bollywood have done in recent times. Hence, this ban in the Middle Eastern belt comes as a huge surprise.”

This is not the first time, when an a film has been banned in Middle East. Last year, even Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer didn’t get a release there.

If we take the worldwide box office collection into consideration, then Middle East surely gives a boost to the collection of a film. So, let’s see if this ban in several territories will affect the collection of Sky Force or not.

Sky Force is expected to take a good start at the domestic box office, and if the opening is of double digit number, then we can surely expect a good weekend collection. Akshay’s last few films have failed to make a mark at the box office, so his fans surely have high expectations from the movie. Maharashtra Government Might Pay ₹9 Crore To Shah Rukh Khan Over ‘Mannat’

Published

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government is likely to approve a petition by actor Shah Rukh Khan secking a refund of around Rs 9 crore, which, according to him, is the excess payment made to the collector, Mumbai Suburban District (MSD), for the land on which his home, ‘Mannat’ stands.

The sprawling residential bungalow, jointly owned by the actor and his wife, Gauri Khan at Band Stand, Bandra West, is on a land parcel leased by the state government to the original owner, who decided to sell it to the Khans after the refund sought by actor, wife for excess payment on land where their home ‘Mannat’ stands government approved the deal.

The property, spread over 2, 446 square metres, was transferred in the names of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan through a registered agreement. Before this, the state; being the original title holder, had levied its share of unearned income, which is calculated based on the difference between the market price and the ready reckoner price.

Later, the Khans decided to take advantage of the state government policy that allows the conversion of the leased property (Class 2) to complete ownership (Class 1). The duo paid 25 per cent of the ready reckoner price in March 2019 as per the state policy, which was calculated at approximately Rs27.50 crore.

Later, sources say, Khan found out about an ‘unintentional error’ on the part of the state government while calculating the conversion fee. It is said the value of the bungalow, instead of the piece of land, was taken into account in the process of the calculation of the conversion fee.

The ‘unintentional error’ by the authorities was noticed by the Khans in September 2022 and Gauri Khan made a representation before the collector, MSD, seeking a refund of the excess amount, which is said to be Rs9 crore. The collector has forwarded it to the state government for final approval, sources told the FPJ Once approved, the excess payment will be refunded, state officials said.
