Bigg Boss 17: Munawar Faruqui Grabs Vicky Jain By Collar After MAJOR Showdown During Nomination Task

Published

on

With the reality show Bigg Boss 17 nearing its grand finale, the contestants are trying every trick in the book to ensure they do not get evicted from the show. However, things turned ugly during the nominations task in the latest episode, and now, all hell is set to break loose with Vicky Jain and Munawar Faruqui locking horns with each other.

In the promo shared by the makers, Vicky can be seen hiding buckets on the roof of the Bigg Boss 17 house in a bid to stop Munawar and his team from splashing water on them during the torture task, which will decide the fate of the contestants on the show.

The ones who will lose the torture task will be nominated for the week and will be up for eliminations, Bigg Boss announced on Tuesday.

As per the promo, Munawar will be seen climbing a tree and trying to get the buckets back from the roof, and that is when Vicky will try to stop him, resulting in the comedian losing his balance and almost tumbling from the tree.

An angry Munawar can be seen charging at Vicky in the promo, and he even held him by his collar, with Ankita Lokhande shouting and asking him to leave Vicky. “Gala chhod uska Munna,” Ankita can be heard stating, and Abhishek Kumar too will try to separate the two from engaging in fisticuffs.

An ugly war of words will ensue between Munawar and Vicky, with the latter calling out the former for playing with the feelings of multiple women. Amid the mudslinging, Munawar can be heard telling Vicky, “Tunnel tak chhod ke aaunga,” which means that he will make sure that Vicky gets evicted this week.

During the nominations task on Tuesday, Vicky, along with his teammates Ankita Lokhande, Ayesha Khan and Isha Malviya, was seen going all out in torturing Munawar, Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar and Arun Mashettey by throwing water, chilli powder, soap, among other things at them.

As a result of their torture, Mannara and Abhishek were seen leaving the buzzer and quitting the task, but at the same time vowing to exact revenge in the second round.

Mumbai, Aug 25: Mumbai Police have claimed to have busted an alleged extortion plot targeting Salman Khan, with the accused allegedly creating fake WhatsApp chats and identities to make it appear that an organised crime gang was threatening the Bollywood superstar.

The police said the investigation found discrepancies in the WhatsApp chats and CCTV footage failed to support the accused’s claims, leading to his alleged confession that he had fabricated the entire story to extort money.

During questioning, the accused allegedly admitted to creating a fake identity and fabricated WhatsApp chats using electronic means with the intention of scaring Salman and extorting money from him.

Police said the accused had hidden two mobile phones near the Bandra seafront.

The devices were later recovered and seized based on information provided by him. Screenshots of the alleged fake WhatsApp chats were also seized in the presence of witnesses.

The investigation further revealed that the accused allegedly received around Rs 1.30 lakh from Siwan in Bihar through PhonePe and later collected the money in cash through a money transfer agent in Bandra.

The accused has been booked under Sections 336(3), 351(3), 353(2), 271, 340 and 248 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 66(C) and 66(D) of the Information Technology Act.

Mumbai Police said the investigation is underway to determine whether the accused allegedly acted alone or whether any other person or gang was involved in the purported fake threat and extortion conspiracy.

In other news, Salman is gearing up for “Bigg Boss 20.”

Speaking about the new season, Salman Khan said in a statement, “Every season of Bigg Boss brings a fresh game, new dynamics and unexpected twists. The teaser is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for audiences to start piecing the clues together when Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20 begins.”

According to reports, the makers are planning a complete makeover of the Bigg Boss house design this season. Omung Kumar and his wife Vanita Garud Kumar, who have previously designed the set, will reportedly not be creating the house this year.

According to reports, several celebrities are being considered as potential contestants for Bigg Boss 20. The rumoured list includes Mahhi Vij, Geeta Basra, Jannat Zubair, Faisal Shaikh (Mr Faisu), Sunil Pal, Nia Sharma, Pearl V Puri, and Showik Chakraborty.

Mumbai, Aug 24: Actress and former beauty queen Urvashi Rautela was one of the judges for Miss Universe India for the fourth consecutive time.

The evening became even more special for Urvashi as she got to share it with Sushmita Sen, someone who has played a crucial role in Urvashi’s journey.

She recalled that Sushmita was the one who gave her the wings and confidence to fly.

Talking about sharing the moment with her ‘Guru’ Sushmita, Urvashi said, “Sharing this moment with my first mentor, my guru, and our first-ever Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen, makes it infinitely more special. She was the woman who gave me the wings to fly; when she personally crowned me on my coronation night, which is the rarest thing as she never does it, it became one of the most surreal and cherished moments of my life.”

Urvashi further opened up about how deeply the faith shown towards her by Sushmita has stayed with her over years.

Expressing her gratitude towards the former Miss Universe, Urvashi added, “I still wonder why she chose to believe in me, but perhaps some blessings are not meant to be explained, only cherished. I feel blessed beyond measure to God, my parents, my family, my fans, my loved ones, and especially my guru Sushmita. I owe a gratitude that words can barely contain. Some dreams are achieved, others transcend imagination. This feels like the latter.”

Meanwhile, Urvashi also made a lot of heads turn during the event with her gorgeous tricolour gown.

“Our team was told that my fourth consecutive appearance as a judge at Miss Universe India has created a world record and made history, and I am truly humbled and profoundly grateful. At Cannes, when an international journalist asked me what India meant to me, I instinctively answered, ‘I am India.’ Today, while judging Miss Universe India 2026 in a tricolour gown, those words feel even more profound. I am immensely proud to be Indian,” Urvashi shared.
