Actress Anasuya Bharadwaj to play prostitute in her next

Anasuya Bharadwaj, who was most recently seen in Gopi Chand’s ‘Pakka Commercial’, is set to appear in an intriguing web series.

Director Krish has been preparing to launch a web series with an interesting concept based on the events of a prostitute’s life. Anasuya Bharadwaj will reportedly play a prostitute in the adaptation of Telugu novelist Gurajada Appa Rao’s Kanyasulakam.

Kanyasulakam is a play written in the 1890s and has remained among the most popular ones over the years. Anasuya will play Madhuravani, a prostitute who the drama’s protagonists.

The online series will begin production soon under director Krish. More information about the same is expected to be out shortly.

Anasuya Bharadwaj’s appearance in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, and Ravi Teja’s Khiladi, marked a significant hype for her roles. However, it was her role as Rangamma Atha in Ram Charan-starrer Rangasthalam that had brought her much appreciation.

Ranveer Singh REJECTED Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga Recalls Being Warned Against Casting Shahid Kapoor

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently gearing up for his next directorial, Animal, which is slated to release on December 1, 2023, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor in the lead. He is best known for directing Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.

In a recent interview, Sandeep revealed that Shahid Kapoor was not his first choice for Kabir Singh, but it was Ranveer Singh. In an interview with iDream Media Sandeep said, “I was continuously getting calls from Mumbai to do the remake. First, it was pitched to Ranveer Singh. I wanted to do it with him. But finally, he decided he will not do it, because it was too dark for him at that time.”

Further, Sandeep also revealed that he was warned against casting Shahid in Kabir Singh as the Jab We Met actor’s track record was a concern because none of his solo films had done ₹100crore back then and his highest was ₹65crore.

“They used to say ₹55 crore, ₹65 crore is the kind of business Telugu movies do. ‘Why are you doing it with this guy? If it was Ranveer, the box office would be higher’. But I was always sure about Shahid, he’s a fantastic actor,” concluded Sandeep.

Meanwhile, Kabir Singh also starred Kiara Advani in the lead. It was the Hindi remake of Vanga’s own Telugu film Arjun Reddy. In 2019, Kabir Singh became the second highest-grossing Bollywood film.

B-Town celebs’ bestie Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, has finally spilled the beans about him getting paid Rs 20-30 lakhs for selfies. He said that if he got such amount for pictures he wouldn’t be slogging it out and would be living more.

Orry in ‘Bigg Boss 17’ made a statement that left the host Salman Khan stumped and also created headlines. He disclosed that he earns a whopping amount of Rs 20-30 lakhs for clicking photographs with celebs.

Asked if he really does earn that much via selfies,I love the statement I made about selfies, it was an exaggeration and I love how it has made headlines.”

He said that if he made that much money through pictures, he would’ve been on an island living it out and not “slogging”.

“I wish I made that much money per selfie you would see me on an island in a yacht living the life and you wouldn’t see me slogging it out and working like a dog in Bombay I would be living more than I had lived,” he said.

He in his adorable way then added: “I’d be lucky if I got 20-30 rupees for selfies but yeah that is the honest truth.”

CBFC Corruption Case: Tamil Actor Vishal Appears Before CBI For Questioning, Says ‘Never Ever Thought In My Life..’

Tamil actor Vishal, who accused the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) of corruption in September 2023, revealed that he was summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Mumbai in connection with the case. On Tuesday (November 28), Vishal took to his official social media account to share the update with his followers.

After his interrogation, Vishal wrote on X, “Just finished my visit to CBI office in Mumbai for an enquiry regarding the CBFC case. Was a complete new experience and am glad the way the enquiry is being conducted. Took some inputs too about how a CBI office would look like. Lol.”

He added, “Never ever thought in my life I will be going to this Govt office too. Need to step in to stand up against corruption in real life too and not just in reel life.”

Two months back, Vishal alleged that he was required to make a payment of Rs 6.5 lakh to the CBFC office in Mumbai for the screening and certification of the Hindi version of his film Mark Antony.

Vishal had shared a video on his social media account to make the corruption allegations against the Mumbai office of the CBFC.

In response, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a statement emphasising its strong stance against corruption. The ministry expressed its deep concern over the corruption allegations raised by Vishal and reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding corruption. They assured that stringent action would be taken against anyone found to be involved in corrupt practices.

Reacting to the allegations, CBFC issued a statement which read, “We have taken note of the allegations being reported very seriously and CBFC has zero tolerance for corruption. Also, the strictest action will be taken against anyone found involved and we shall get into the root cause. Meanwhile, any attempt to malign the image of CBFC will not be tolerated.
