He also told that in Maharashtra, on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday in 2024, a pledge of eye donation was taken from 740 people. He said, “This year, a target has been set to take pledge of eye donation from 7500 people on the occasion of 75th birthday of the Prime Minister.”

A Group of Teenagers Has Started Stealing Bikes: Agripada Residents Alarmed as Police Inaction Continues

Mumbai, May 14, 2025: A disturbing trend of bike thefts is gripping the Agripada area as a group of teenagers has allegedly been stealing motorcycles in broad daylight. In the past few days, multiple incidents of theft have been reported, sparking concern and anger among residents over what they describe as police inaction.
Surveillance footage, including one video submitted by a local resident, clearly shows a group of young individuals stealing a parked motorcycle in a matter of minutes. The thefts are happening across various locations within Agripada police jurisdiction, indicating a pattern and potential coordination among the culprits.
What’s raising eyebrows is that despite having access to CCTV footage and complaints from victims, the Agripada Police Station has not yet lodged a formal First Information Report (FIR), even after more than two weeks since the incidents began.
“I went to the station with the video, thinking that would be enough for them to take action,” said a local resident and victim whose bike was recently stolen. “But all I got were assurances. No FIR has been registered even now.”
Residents say the lack of police response is emboldening the culprits, who appear to operate without fear of being caught. The community is calling for immediate intervention from senior police officials and a more proactive approach to patrolling and investigating these thefts.
Legal experts point out that delay in filing an FIR, especially when video evidence is available, violates basic policing protocols. “The police are duty-bound to register a complaint if a cognizable offense is reported,” said Advocate Sneha Deshpande, a Mumbai-based criminal lawyer.
As anxiety grows among locals and trust in law enforcement continues to erode, the question remains: how many more bikes will be stolen before action is finally taken?

Why is there a ceasefire at the behest of the US? asks SP leader and MLA Abu Asim Azmi

Mumbai: Maharashtra Samajwadi Party leader and MLA Abu Asim Azmi said that America’s arrogance is unbearable. A ceasefire at the behest of America and a war at its behest are not right. He said that Pakistan had carried out terrorist and destructive acts in the country before, why did the Modi government not respond to it at that time? He said that after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the country stood with the government like a lead wall, but a ceasefire was declared at the behest of America. He said that our country will decide whether to have relations with Pakistan or not. Who gave America the authority to do so? He said that they were brought to their knees at the behest of America.
Abu Asim Azmi said that when there were terrorist attacks earlier, where was America? Why didn’t it mediate? Once, it happened that Narendra Modi suddenly went on a visit to Pakistan for no reason. There is anger against Pakistan in the country and the people are adamant about continuing the war until the end of Pakistan. Narendra Modi says that negotiations and terrorism cannot go together, blood and water will not flow together, so why has no concrete step been taken against terrorism so far? Relations with Pakistan have been maintained repeatedly, now why was a ceasefire declared at the behest of America and the US President is also announcing it? Azmi said that if a war is fought across the border, then why was the war left incomplete?
Modi’s statement that blood and terrorism and water and blood will not flow together is just a dialogue. If there was to be a ceasefire, then there should have been mediation and intervention in this matter already. Why was it done now? He said that terrorism has not ended even after the abrogation of Article 370 and demonetization. Modi ji had said that if terrorism is not ended in 50 days, then the punishment given to me will be acceptable. Abu Asim Azmi said that India is the biggest power but America will teach us a lesson that when to go to war and when not, India will decide. He said that communalism is on the rise in the country and a burqa-clad woman was forced to chant the slogan of Jai Shri Ram and was mistreated. Muslims are being targeted. This is completely wrong. This kind of communalism should also end. The government also needs to put a stop to this.
