The conductor, who was serving at Manuguru depot of TGSRTC in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, had suffered critical injuries after falling under the rear wheels of the bus near Mittagudem village on October 25.
A woman passenger, identified as Mounika, had allegedly pushed out Pravalika from the moving bus following an argument over ticket fare for the latter’s son and the return of change. As the passenger had handed over a Rs 100 note, the conductor had asked her to collect the remaining amount later as she did not have change. During a heated argument, the passenger allegedly pushed Pravalika out of the moving bus. She fell on the road, and the rear wheels ran over her right leg, crushing it. Her left leg also sustained serious injuries.
She was initially shifted to a hospital in Bhadrachalam and later brought to Hyderabad for advanced treatment.
Police took the accused passenger into custody and registered a case.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed grief over the death of the conductor. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to her family.

ED secures conviction of five in money laundering case, court awards three-year jail term

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Lucknow Zonal Office, has secured the conviction of five accused in a money laundering case linked to a bank loan fraud involving Syndicate Bank, with a special court in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, sentencing each of them to three years of rigorous imprisonment.
The Special Judge, Ghaziabad, convicted V.N. Mathur, Rajeev Kumar, Arvind Chaudhary, Ankit Chaudhary and Pramod Kumar under Section 3, punishable under Section 4 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, through a judgment dated November 3, in Case No. 5/23.
The court awarded each convict three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000. In default of payment, they will undergo an additional three months of simple imprisonment.
The ED initiated its investigation based on two FIRs registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), Ghaziabad, following a complaint by the Chief Vigilance Officer of Syndicate Bank.
In the scheduled offence, the Special Judge, CBI Court No. 2, Ghaziabad, had convicted V.N. Mathur, the then Branch Manager, under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, while acquitting Rajeev Kumar and Pramod Kumar.
However, the ED stated that Rajeev Kumar and Pramod Kumar have now been convicted of money laundering based on the evidence and material placed on record by the agency.
According to the investigation, Mathur, who was the Branch Manager of Syndicate Bank’s Gajraula branch during 2006-07, entered into a criminal conspiracy with late Narendra Singh, Arvind Chaudhary and others.
As part of the conspiracy, he sanctioned loans and overdraft limits to them, their firms and associates on the basis of forged sale deeds of non-existent properties, false non-encumbrance certificates and fabricated valuation reports.
The investigation further revealed that the loan proceeds were not utilised for their sanctioned purposes. Instead, the funds were withdrawn in cash and routed through various savings bank accounts and demand drafts to conceal their illicit origins.
The proceeds were subsequently invested in immovable properties, including plots in Alipur, J.P. Nagar district, and Dehradun.
The ED stated that the accused knowingly acquired, possessed, used and concealed the proceeds of crime and projected them as untainted property, thereby committing the offence of money laundering under the PMLA, 2002.

Tiger Shroff firing case: MCOCA court sends gangster Anil Pandit’s sister-in-law to police custody till Nov 16

A special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court here on Tuesday sent Suneha Pandit, the 13th accused arrested in connection with the firing incident on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, to police custody till November 16.
The Mumbai Crime Branch had arrested Suneha Pandit, the sister-in-law of gangster Anil Pandit, who had claimed responsibility for the October 18 firing case, from Haryana’s Karnal district.
She was produced before a special MCOCA court in Mumbai on Tuesday, where investigators sought her police custody for further questioning.
According to officials, Suneha Pandit is the wife of Abhishek, who allegedly operates a cryptocurrency account.
Funds have reportedly been received in this account from abroad, and investigators suspect that the money may be proceeds from extortion.
Abhishek Pandit is the brother of Anil Pandit and is accused of running two other groups along with his network and is said to handle payments for all operations.
The other accused persons in the firing case were assigned special codes through which Abhishek Pandit allegedly transferred money to them, police said.
The Mumbai Crime Branch had sought 15 days of police custody for Suneha Pandit.
However, her lawyer opposed the police custody request, arguing that the police have already obtained all the information they required.
The Mumbai Crime Branch also informed the court that the funds allegedly used in the Tiger Shroff firing case came from foreign sources.
In its order, the MCOCA court sent the accused woman to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch until November 16.
Last week, a special MCOCA court sent Amar, the 12th accused arrested from Haryana’s Sonipat, to police custody till November 6.
Prior to that, the MCOCA court had sent 11 other accused arrested in connection with the firing on Shroff’s car to police custody till November 6.
Amar was arrested from Rohna village in Sonipat.
According to officials, Amar is accused of having transferred money, allegedly used in the commission of the crime, online. The funds were reportedly used for various expenses, including the purchase of a motorcycle and booking hotel rooms linked to the case.
