Mumbai, Sep 23: Actor Jackie Shroff marked veteran actor Prem Chopra’s 91st birthday with a nostalgic tribute, recalling some of the legendary actor’s most iconic dialogues such as “Prem Naam Hai Mera, Prem Chopra” among many others.

Jackie took to his Instagram stories section, where he shared a picture of the iconic star and added the caption: “My respect always!”

For the background score, he added some of his iconic lines such as “Prem naam hai mera, Prem Chopra, nanga nahayega kya nichodega kya and main woh bala hoon jo sheeshe se pattar ko todta hai.”

Jackie then went on to celebrate four years of the film “Atithi Bhooto Bhava,” which released in 2022.

“Celebrating 4 years of Atithi Bhooto Bhava,” Jackie wrote in the caption.

Atithi Bhooto Bhava is a horror comedy film written by Aniket Wakchaure and directed by Hardik Gajjar. It features Jackie Shroff, Pratik Gandhi and Sharmin Segal in lead roles.

The film follows Srikant, whose life turns upside down when he bumps into a middle-aged ghost who claims to be his grandson from his previous birth. Things take an even more comical turn when the ghost seeks Srikant’s help to meet his long-lost love. He decides to help the ghost and is supported by his girlfriend Netra.

Jackie’s latest is Ahmed Khan’s comedy film titled “Welcome To The Jungle”.

The film has a huge star cast including names such as Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Mika Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Tusshar Kapoor, and Sayaji Shinde.

It is loosely based on the 2005 American film The Producers as well as the 2008 American film Tropic Thunder.

This film marks the ninth collaboration of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, who have reunited on screen after almost 17 years. Their last collaboration was Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan.

Mumbai, Sep 22: Actor Divyenndu, who delivered a memorable performance as ‘Liquid’ in Luv Ranjan’s 2011 romantic comedy ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ extended his best wishes to the team of the upcoming romantic entertainer ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’.

On Tuesday, Divyenndu shared the trailer of the forthcoming drama on his Instagram handle. He drew a playful connection to his iconic character ‘Liquid’ as he welcomed the young cast of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’.

Taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane, Divyenndu wrote on his official account, “Kuch pehle jaisa laga kya?? Lekin yeh woh hai nahin.. Toh aaieye hum sab aur specially Liquid ki taraf se welcome karte hain!! All the best to the team of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar @sparshwaliaa @alishachopra1 @kuunnnaaalllll @_vaidyasakshi @tusharchhibber @sargun_kaur.luthra @anujpsaini @luv_films (sic).”

Made under the direction of Anuj Saini, ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ marks the debut of multiple actors, including Sparsh Walia, Alisha Chopra, Kunal Vaid, Sakshi Vaidya, Tushar Chhibber, and Sargun Kaur Luthra.

Luv Ranjan revealed that launching 6 newcomers in ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ has been both a challenging and exciting experience for him.

“Introducing newcomers is always a challenge, but it’s the one I genuinely look forward to. Fifteen years ago, I got that opportunity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and when something similar came along with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, I knew I didn’t want to let it pass. As a writer, creating a world for six new faces and watching them find their own rhythm within it was something I really enjoyed. When the people feel right, the story finds its own energy, and I’m excited for audiences to meet them,” the filmmaker explained.

Presented by Luv Films and jointly backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ is expected to reach the cinema halls on 23rd October this year.

Mumbai, Sep 22: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has spoken about the incomparable and irreplaceable place of a mother in a child’s life.

In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the actor reflected on the sanctity of motherhood after contestant Kapila Taneja opened up about being separated from her daughter for more than 24 years.

The emotional conversation began when Amitabh asked Kapila about her daughter. Kapila, who hails from Chhattisgarh and is a survivor of domestic violence, revealed that she has not heard her daughter’s voice or met her for more than two decades.

“Itni jaankari meko nahi hain. Kyunki hospital se hi jo maine aakhri baar unhe dekha tha, uske baad se na maine uski aawaz suni hain, na main usse mil payi hoon. 24 saal se zyada ho gaye hain.”

(I don’t have much information about her. The last time I saw her was at the hospital, and since then, I have neither heard her voice nor been able to meet her. It has been more than 24 years)

When Amitabh asked her why she had not been able to meet her daughter, Kapila spoke about the repeated attempts she had made to establish contact.

“Judge sahab ke samne bhi maine kai baar request ki, apne pati se, sasural walon se, ki kam se kam milne toh diya jaaye, unse baat karne di jaaye, unka number hi de dijiye. Ek din aisa nahi gaya jismein maine uske liye prayer na ki ho… aur aaj mai chahti hu ki aap usko bas do shabd blessings ke de dijiye.”

(I requested many times in front of the judge, and asked my husband and my in-laws to at least let me meet her, speak to her, or even just give me her phone number. Not a single day has gone by when I haven’t prayed for her… and today, I simply want you to give her a few words of blessings.)

Visibly moved by her story, Amitabh expressed hope that the programme could help Kapila establish contact with her daughter. He then spoke at length about the unique position a mother holds in a child’s life.

“Aashirwad dene layak hum nahi hain, lekin iss karyakram ke dwara unka sampark ho aapka. Aur bass keval itna hi kahege aap akeli mat rahiye, aapki mata shree yahan par jeevit hain. Dekhiye ek bachche ke sabse aavashyak aur bahut hi labhdayak aur bahut hi ruchi wala ek shabd hota hai aur woh hain maa. Jab aap maa bolenge tab aapko pata chalega. Ek mata ka darja jo hai samaj mein kitna hota hai. Ek baar aap maa boliye aur aapki maa hamare samne baithi hain, woh aapke saath sampark karein. Bahut-bahut dhanyawad.”

(We are not worthy of giving blessings, but through this programme, I hope she is able to get in touch with you. And I would only say this: please do not remain alone; your mother is alive and sitting here before us. You see, there is one word that is most essential, immensely valuable and deeply meaningful in a child’s life, and that word is ‘maa’ — mother. When you say ‘maa’, you will understand. You will realise the place a mother holds in society. Say ‘maa’ just once, and your mother is sitting here before us, waiting to connect with you. Thank you very much.)

For the uninitiated, Amitabh Bachchan on the personal front, has always expressed and revealed of being close to his late mother Teji Bachchan, who passed away in 2007.
