‘The Kashmir Files’ gets censor clearance in UAE, Singapore
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s latest release ‘The Kashmir Files’ has received censor clearance in the UAE and Singapore.
‘The Kashmir Files’ depicts actual events in Kashmir where Kashmiri Pandits were killed, tortured and forced to flee their own land after a communal campaign was unleashed by Islamist separatists with support of Pakistan. The film shows the ethnic cleansing and also how lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus lived in tents as refugees in their own country.
Agnihotri took to his social media while sharing the good news about the film getting censor clearance in the UAE and Singapore without any cuts.
He wrote: “Big Victory: Finally, got the censor clearance from UAE. Rated 15+ passed without any cuts. Releasing on 7th April (Thursday). Now, Singapore. (Thanks Sanu for this portrait).”
While speaking about the same the director said: “In India, some people are calling it Islamophobic but an Islamic country after 4 weeks of scrutiny has passed it with 0 cuts and for 15+ audience whereas in India it is 18+”.
Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the exodus drama features a stellar cast of actors including Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, Bhasha Sumbli and Chinmay Mandlekar.
Produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri released in theatres on March 11.

When Amitabh Bachchan revealed that Deepika Padukone eats every 3 minutes

Mumbai, Oct 11: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan once revealed that actress Deepika Padukone eats something every 3 minutes.
As Big B hosted Deepika and filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, Amitabh decided to shed light on Deepika’s ‘regular eating schedule ‘.
He shared, “Normally, a person has three meals in a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have experienced that she [Deepika] eats every three minutes.”
“Every three minutes, someone gets food for her in a bowl, and she never asks me if I want some too,” Big B added.
Deepika immediately countered him, revealing that her version of the conversation was a bit different.
The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress shared, “Whenever I would open my dabba, Amit ji would come and ask me again and again what I am eating.”
Reacting to this in a hilarious manner, Amitabh said, “Lying is not permitted on this show!”
Farah also pitched in, sharing her views on Deepika’s food preferences. Revealing the secret behind their successful professional association, the ‘Main Hoon Na’ maker said, “This is why Deepika Padukone works with me, since I get her food from home.”
While they were on the subject, Big B complained that Farah had never shared her homemade biryani with him. Responding to this, Farah explained to the veteran actor that biryani was not prepared for vegetarians at her home.
“Sir, at my home there is no Biryani preparation for vegetarians. There is only Veg Pulao,” Farah said.
Refreshing your memory, Deepika made her big screen debut with Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Additionally, Deepika shared screen space with Amitabh in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’, which also featured late Irrfan Khan in a crucial role.
Released in the cinema halls on 8 May 2015, ‘Piku’ garnered critical acclaim, with viewers lauding the performances for Big B, Deepika and Irrfan.

FIR filed against Imran Khan & others after being detained at the August Kranti Maidan protest

Mumbai, Oct 11: Mumbai Police have registered an FIR at the Gamdevi Police Station against actor Imran Khan and others detained in connection with a protest at August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai, in support of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) protest in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over the controversy surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
Mumbai Police shared that the FIR has been registered under Sections 223 (disobedience to an order), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 189(2) (unlawful assembly), 189(3) and 189(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police personnel themselves were the complainants.
According to the police, more than 400 people were detained in Mumbai during the demonstration.
After being detained on Saturday, Imran uploaded a picture of himself from inside the police van, along with a hilarious caption that went, “Apparently I’m going for a drive.”
A video also went viral where Imran was heard saying ‘Jai Hind’ to the police.
In another clip, he spoke about his detention, saying, “I honestly don’t know why I have been brought here. They picked all of us from the streets and asked us to sit in the vans.”
Imran further revealed that he and the others were driven around in the police van for approximately two hours before their release.
Before entering the van, the ‘Delhi Belly’ actor also shared that he did not have any specific demands but had come simply as a citizen of Mumbai.
“Sir, I don’t have any demands. I don’t have any status to demand anything from people. Nor am I a part of any organization, so I don’t speak as a representative,” he shared.
Imran’s girlfriend, Lekha Washington, and cousin, Zayn Marie Khan, were also detained from the August Kranti Maidan along with him.
Both Lekha and Zayn also shared constant updates from the police van on their social media handles.

Amitabh Bachchan gets emotional listening to late mother Teji Bachchan’s voice ahead of 84th birthday

Mumbai, Oct 10: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was left visibly emotional on the sets of the quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati during a special birthday-week celebration, as the voice of his late mother, Teji Bachchan, filled the studio with cherished memories.
The emotional moment unfolded when a recording of Teji Bachchan reciting a poem penned by her husband and noted Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan was played on the show.
The poem, ‘Raat Aadhi Ho Gayi Hai’, evoked fond memories of the actor’s parents, leaving him overwhelmed with emotions.
Monochrome pictures of a young Amitabh with his mother appeared on the screen, accompanied by Teji Bachchan’s soulful recitation of the poem by Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
Recognizing the familiar voice instantly, a visibly overwhelmed Big B paused to share with the audience, “Maa ki aawaaz hai yeh… Haan, woh Babuji ki ek kavita gaa rahi hain..” (This is my mother’s voice… Yes, she is singing a poem by Babuji)
Further a young child and dancer paid a tribute to the megastar stating, “Amitabh Bachchan ji sirf ek superstar, host ya pita nahi… balki ek emotion hain, Hindustan ka emotion” (Amitabh Bachchan ji is not just a superstar, a host or a father… he is an emotion, the emotion of India)
Amitabh bachchan has spoken a lot many times about his late.Mother and all the impact she has had on him throughout his life.
Teji bachchan passed away in 2007.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan will turn 84 years on October 11.
The actor has been working round the clock, despite his senior age and has multiple projects in the pipeline along with KBC.
