Shah Rukh Khan BEGS Mani Ratnam To Cast Him In His Film: ‘Will Dance On Plane If You Tell Me’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan expressed his desire to do another film with his Dil Se director Mani Ratnam, and he went on to the extent of saying that he will go to any lengths to be a part of the filmmaker’s project.
During a recent event, SRK and Mani Ratnam came together and they got into a friendly banter when the actor was asked if he wanted to do a film with the director.
“It’s all come out in the open now. I’m requesting you, I’m begging you and I’m telling you every time to do a film with me. I swear, this time, I’ll dance on top of the plane for Chaiyya Chaiyya if you tell me,” SRK said.
The first time SRK and Mani Ratnam collaborated on screen was back in 1998 for the film Dil Se, which went on to become a blockbuster. The film remains iconic till date and it also gave the audience the chartbuster Chaiyya Chaiyya, which has achieved the cult status in Bollywood.
Responding to Shah Rukh’s request, Mani Ratnam cheekily said that he would cast him in his film when the actor buys a plane.
Not one to give up, SRK added, “Mani, let me just tell you, the way my films are doing…this plane is not far way,” and the director shot back with an equally witty answer: “I’ll bring it down to earth, don’t worry”.
Their banter was loved by the audience and they cheered for the actor-director duo, rooting for them to actually sign a film together.
On the work front, the year 2023 belonged to Shah Rukh, who marked his blockbuster comeback with Pathaan, followed by Jawan, both of which minted over Rs 1000 crore respectively. He ended the year with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which earned close to Rs 500 crore globally, but has been listed as one of the films that will be sent to the Oscars for nominations.
Shah Rukh, who is currently basking in the success of his hits, is yet to announce his lineup for 2024. If reports are to be believed, he will be seen sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan and the film will go on floors in March or April this year.

‘Alag Level Ka Craze Hoga Bhai’, After Sanam Teri Kasam, Salman Khan’s Fans Demand Tere Naam Re-Release

One thing that Sanam Teri Kasam re-release success has proved it that the audience is craving to watch good romantic films, and clearly they are not getting it now, so that’s why a re-release is getting such a good response. The Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane starrer in four days has collected Rs. 18.50 crore which is excellent. When the film had originally released in 2016, its lifetime collection was Rs. 11.10 crore, and it was a box office dud.
Now, with Sanam Teri Kasam re-release getting such a great response, fans of Salman Khan are demanding a re-release of Tere Naam. The 2003 also starred Bhumika Chawla in the lead role, and while it was an average grosser at the box office, the film has received a cult status.
A fan of Salman Khan posted on X, “#TereNaam a film if re-releases then surely gonna create more wonders than #SanamTeriKasam #SalmanKhan poured his heart & soul into ‘Radhe’ bringing to life a character that’s both traumatized & immortalized a generation. Jeevan Apna Sara Sanam.”
Another fan wrote, “If this film RE-RELEASE … 50-100Cr WW movie. #Trending #Terenaam #SalmanaKhan.” One more fan posted on X, “Ek baar Tere Naam Re-release kar ke Dekho. Alag level ka craze hoga bhai. Theatre will be filled and trend will be back again #SalmanKhan #TereNaam.”
Tere Naam was directed by Satish Kaushik, and Salman gave one of the best performances of his career in the movie. The movie was reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 10 crore, and it had collected Rs. 14.53 crore nett at the domestic box office. The worldwide gross collection Tere Naam was Rs. 22.23 crore. So, it was a hit, but an averag grosser.
During an informal meet with the media at the time of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan, Salman had spoken about Satish Kaushik’s demise, and stated that there was a plan to make Tere Naam 2.
Well, so let’s see if Salman will agree to his fans’ demand and re-release Tere Naam or not.

India’s Got Latent Controversy: Mumbai Police Summons Ranveer Allahbadia & Samay Raina Over ‘Vulgar’ Remarks During Show

Mumbai: The Mumbai police are conducting a preliminary inquiry into digital content creators Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, who host India’s Got Latent. On Tuesday, the police sent a summons to both of them. A police team arrived at Allahbadia’s residence, located near Seven Bungalows, Andheri West, at Bay View Building, and will be questioning him and Raina there. The police are investigating a controversial video clip. In India’s Got Latent, Allahbadia made a comment that created outrage and was alleged to be vulgar and obscene. The comment faced criticism from various platforms, including political, social, legal, and women’s rights organisations.
Earlier today, a team of Mumbai Police reached Ranveer Allahbadia’s house in the city’s Versova area.
According to reports, the Parliamentary IT Panel is mulling over whether to summon Allahbadia following Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi’s statement on Monday, in which she stated that she would raise the issue before the Panel.
After the backlash, Ranveer issued an apology and called it a ‘lapse in judgment.’ He said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise.”

Ranveer Allahbadia issues apology, shares learnings from controversial incident

Mumbai, Feb 10: YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology after his controversial remarks on the “India’s Got Latent” show sparked widespread criticism.
Allahbadia, who is known for his BeerBiceps brand, took to social media to express regret over his comment, admitting that it was “not appropriate” and “not even funny.” In a video statement, Ranveer said, “My comment was not appropriate, was not even funny, comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I use my platform, obviously this is not how I wished to use it.”
He added, “I am not going to give any context, any justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just offering an apology. I personally had a lapse in my judgment; it was not cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people from all ages and don’t want to a kind of person that takes responsibility, family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect. Need to use this platform better; that’s been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to get better; I have asked the makers to remove the insensitive segment from the video. I am sorry; I hope you can forgive me as a human being.”
Sharing the video, Allahbadia wrote on his X handle, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry.”
His apology comes after he received severe backlash on social media for his vulgar comment.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also slammed Ranveer saying anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face appropriate action.
Addressing the media, CM said, “I have been informed about this, though I have not watched it yet. I came to know that it was very vulgar, and this was wrong. Everyone has freedom of speech, but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom. Everyone has limits, if anyone crosses them, action will be taken.”
Two lawyers from Mumbai have filed a police complaint against Allahbadia.
Recently, Ranveer appeared on Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent” along with other content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija. Allahbadia raised eyebrows for asking an inappropriate question to a contestant. He asked the female contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
The complaint has been lodged with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, with the complainant demanding strict action against the accused.
