Sanjay Raut rips into Raj Thackeray for comments on Uddhav’s tackling Covid crisis

Mumbai, April 21. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut attacked Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray for his comments targetting his estranged cousin and ex-Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, here on Friday.

Attempting to defend Shiv Sena Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Raj Thackeray on Thursday created a flutter by saying that the lapses in Covid-19 management during Uddhav Thackeray’s tenure as CM at the height of the pandemic could also attract charges of culpable homicide.

He was hitting out at the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)’s demand for CM Eknath Shinde’s resignation, dismissal of his government and booking officials responsible for culpable homicide after the Navi Mumbai tragedy that claimed 14 lives.

Ruling Sena Minister Uday Samant endorsed Raj Thackeray’s demand saying the corruption that resulted in Covid-19 deaths can be exposed and attract culpable homicide charges.

Responding, Raut said that Raj ‘was a pet parrot’ of the ruling ally Bharatiya Janata Party and asked him to make demands for culpable homicide against the CMs of Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat for their failure during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Why only Uddhav Thackeray, let them order similar investigations against the CMs of Gujarat and UP… Remember those thousands of bodies dumped in the Ganga River in UPa or the long queues of people waiting for cremation of hundreds in Gujarat,” Raut demanded.

As the bitter political row continued over the ‘Maharashtra Bhushan Award’ post-event tragedy, the state government yesterday appointed a one-man committee to probe the issue, and earlier banned all similar open-air functions in the state from 12-5 pm during summer.

The Opposition leaders have questioned how a government official could conduct an impartial probe when the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries were on the dais.

Nationalist Congress Party’s Leader of Opposition (Assembly) Ajit Pawar has demanded a judicial probe by a retired judge, state Congress President Nana Patole wants a two-day Special Legislature Session to discuss the disaster, and Raut has alleged between 50-75 deaths necessitating culpable homicide charges.

Mumbai: Before running away with his lover, the lover committed theft in his own house, the accused was having an affair with his daughter’s boyfriend, sensational revelation in police investigation

A very shocking information has come to light under the Dandoshi Police Station of Mumbai, where a girlfriend stole her husband’s jewelry to run away with her lover and handed it over to her lover and then went to the police station herself and lodged a complaint of jewelry theft.

During the investigation of the case, Dandoshi Police made a big disclosure and arrested the wife on charges of jewelry theft and seized about ten and a half tolas of gold jewelry from her.

Actually, this case is from the house of BMC employee Ramesh Dhondu Haldev located in Santosh Nagar of BMC Colony, Goregaon East, where Ramesh’s wife Urmila Ramesh Haldev suddenly told her husband Ramesh that her jewelry was missing from the cupboard. She started accusing her husband Ramesh of theft. Ramesh said that he had no idea about the jewelry. After this, Ramesh and his wife lodged a complaint of jewelry theft from the house at the Dandoshi Police Station.

When Dandhoshi Police Station sub-inspector Ajit Desai started investigating the case, he found out that it was not a case of burglary but a family member was involved in the theft and was misleading the police.

When police officer Ajit Desai started investigating the case, he did not find any clue.

After a few days, the police suspected that if there was no burglary in the house, then where did the jewellery go?

When the police started collecting the call details and location of the mobile phones of all the people present in the house, they got another shocking information.

In their investigation, the police found out that BMC employee Ramesh’s wife Urmila was having an affair with someone else and Ramesh’s wife was planning to run away from the house with her lover. But before running away, she wanted to make her lover a millionaire so that she could enjoy her life with this money. That’s why she made this plan and stole the jewellery from her own house and sold it and transferred about Rs 10 lakh to her lover’s account.

Not only this, the police got another shocking information. The call details also revealed that Urmila also had an affair with her 18-year-old daughter’s boyfriend and had given some of the stolen jewelry to him to keep with him. The call details revealed that after the incident, she was in constant touch with her daughter’s boyfriend and used to talk to him on the phone throughout the day.

When the police detained the daughter’s boyfriend and interrogated him on the basis of the phone call, he initially refrained from telling any story, but under the pressure of the police, he told the whole story and told all the details of the case, saying that Urmila had stolen jewelry from her house and sold it to her boyfriend and had also given some jewelry to him.

When the Dindoshi police interrogated Urmila and her daughter’s boyfriend face to face, Urmila confessed that she was planning to leave her BMC employee husband and run away with her lover.

The police have seized the stolen jewelry from the jewelry shop mentioned by Urmila and arrested Urmila and sent her to judicial custody.

According to Mahendra Shinde, senior police inspector of Dindoshi police station, Urmila and Ramesh were married about 18 years ago. Ramesh is a government employee in the water department in the BMC ward of Andheri. When he used to go to office, his wife Urmila used to chat with her lover on social media. Both of them fell in love and planned to run away from home with stolen jewelry and money. Urmila also had an affair with her daughter’s boyfriend. That is why she had given some of the stolen jewelry to him and asked him to hide it. Urmila had accused the police of not investigating properly, while a complaint of theft of this jewelry from the house had already been lodged, which has not been found yet. Urmila had said that she was sure that the stolen jewelry would not be found this time too. This is the reason why the police were repeatedly suspecting Urmila. At present, Urmila has been arrested and sent to judicial custody and the case is being investigated.

Thane: Two theft incidents have been reported at Kalyan Railway Station, where two individuals lost valuables worth a total of Rs 75,000. Both victims have registered complaints at the Kalyan Lohmarg Police Station.

Certain thieves are pretending to be passengers and approaching people at the station. These thieves use friendly conversation, emotional stories, and clever tricks to distract people and steal their belongings.

Most of these incidents take place on platforms or nearby areas like the skywalk. Victims usually realise the theft only after the criminal has escaped with their valuables, which often include gold ornaments and cash.

One of the incidents took place around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A passenger was waiting on the skywalk because the local train was delayed. A man approached him, pretending to ask for information about trains going to Mumbai.

The man started an emotional conversation and shared stories about his financial problems and future plans. During the talk, he slowly gained the passenger’s trust, reportedly even hypnotising him. According to the report, taking advantage of the moment, the thief stole a 10-gram gold ring worth Rs 60,000 and walked away.

The victim only realised what had happened after the man had already left. He searched the area but could not find the thief. He then went to the Kalyan Lohmarg Police Station and filed a complaint.

Assistant Police Inspector Kamble is currently handling the investigation. In another incident earlier that day, a thief stole a mobile phone worth Rs 15,000 from a passenger seated at the station. The phone was placed next to the passenger, and the thief managed to steal it without being noticed. A complaint has also been filed in this case, which Sub-Inspector Mohite is investigating.

The rising frequency of such thefts has created unease among railway passengers. Commuters are expressing concern and surprise over the continued thefts, especially given the presence of regular police patrolling at the station.
