Mumbai: No Water Supply In Parts Of Andheri, Vile Parle & Jogeshwari For 18 Hours Starting Tonight; Check List Of Affected Areas

Mumbai: As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announcment, there will be no water supply in parts of K East and K West wards due to scheduled maintenance work. The supply will be suspended from Thursday, September 19, at 8:00 PM until Friday, September 20, at 2:00 PM.
The BMC has provided a list of specific areas within K East and K West where the water supply will be suspended during this period. The daily water supply timings will be disrupted, and residents are urged to prepare accordingly.
K East Ward Areas:
– Mahakali Marg, Poonam Nagar, Goni Nagar, Taxila Marg, MMRDA Colony, Durga Nagar, Paper Box, Malpa Dongri No. 3, Sher A Punjab, Bindra Sankul, Hanjar Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Shobhana Area: Water will be cut off during their regular supply window of 4:30 AM to 7:50 AM.
– Sundar Nagar, Gautam Nagar, Modern Bakery, Prajapurpada: Water supply will be suspended between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
– Tripathi Nagar, Munshi Colony, Bastiwala Compound, Sudden Colony, Collector Compound, Sariput Nagar: These areas will experience disruption from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
– Durganagar, Matoshree Club: No water supply will be available from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
K West Ward Areas:
– C.D. Barfiwala Marg, Upashray Galli, Swami Vivekananda Marg, Dawood Bagh, Kevani Pada, Dhakusheth Pada, Malkam Bagh, Andheri Market, Bhardawadi, Behind Navrang Cinema, Andheri Gavthan, Ambre Garden Pump and Gazdar Pump, Part of Gilbert Hill, Three Taps, Gawdevi Dongri Marg, and Part of Osmania Dairy: Water supply will be cut off from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Advisory Issued
The BMC has issued a public advisory asking residents of the affected areas to store sufficient water before the scheduled disruption. Once the maintenance work is completed, the water supply will be restored as per the regular schedule.
However, the BMC has also advised residents to take health precautions and urged to filter and boil the water for drinking for at least 4 to 5 days after the water supply returns. The replacement of the valves on the water distribution network may temporarily affect the quality of water, it said.

Two accused arrested for illegally uploading Chaavva film

Mumbai: Mumbai Cyber South Police Station has registered a case under the Copyright Act for illegally distributing pirated links of Chaavva film on platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube and Google, causing a huge financial loss to the entertainment company. 1818 fake links of this film were created and it was made public on social media. During technical investigation, it was found that a person named Randhawan is involved in this case. This 26-year-old youth has been arrested from Pune. He had illegally uploaded the Chaavva film and along with that, he had also purchased the domain. He had also developed an application for this film.
He was arrested from Pune and brought to Mumbai. In this context, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested another accused. Mumbai Police had registered a complaint by Rajat Rahul Haksar and on this basis, the police have arrested an accused in Nashik. Earlier, one was arrested from Pune. The accused arrested from Nashik has been identified as Sanhil Dhumal, 26 years old. During the investigation, it was found that he had illegally uploaded the movie Chhavva on social media platforms. He has also been brought to Mumbai by the Crime Branch.

Controversial song against Muslims goes viral on Ram Navami

Mumbai: Police have taken action against three people by registering a case against those who played abusive songs and spewed venom against Muslims on a DJ on Ram Navami, DCP Manish Kalwaniya informed here today. He said that on April 6, during Ram Navami, a DJ was played under the Andheri Metro Bridge in which a specific community was abused. After this song went viral, a case was registered under 296 at the Sahar police station.
The police have taken action against the three accused and have also sent them notices. Not only that, they have also been questioned. The DCP said that since the sections under which the case has been registered do not require arrest and carry a punishment of less than seven years, the police have given notices to these three accused and legal action has been taken. Muslims have expressed their displeasure over this hateful and derogatory song, after which the police took action and registered a case. This case was registered on April 8. This matter also went viral on social media and after criticism from all sides, the police took action.

Mumbai, April 12: In a proud moment for Mumbai Police, all seven police stations under Zone 12 have been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate, recognizing their commitment to exceptional service standards and efficient work processes.
The police stations that received the certification include Vanrai, Aarey, Dindoshi, Kurar, Samata Nagar, Kasturba Marg, and Dahisar. These stations successfully passed all three stages of inspection, meeting the rigorous criteria required for the certification.
