Mumbai: Police has now started strict action against drug peddlers In order to clamp down on drug peddlers, the police has started demolition and bulldozing of their illegal houses and assets and property. Criminal occupation and drug dealers 1) Saila Subhash Patel alias Shalo age 35 years alias Saila Bai alias Shalo Raju Pawar, 2) Dharminder Lohari Jaiswar age 20 years, 3) Sikandar Lohar Jaiswar age 21 years, 4) Pushpa Narayan Tade age 36 years, 5) Subhash Motilal Patel age 49 years, 6) Bharat alias Sonu Ramnath Nishad age 27 years, 7) Muhammad Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Sheikh alias June age 59 years, 8) Amna Qadeer Muhammad Ansari age 39 years, 9) Ayesha Saleem Sheikh age 40 years, 10) Santosh Ashok Sharke age 21 years, 11) Ghafran Ali Mumtaz Ali Khan age 35 years are included in their illegality. The police in joint action with BMC have bulldozed the houses and the houses in Apa Para, Palan Nagar, Banjari Para, Panpari Para, Adivasi Popat Compound, Ambedkar Nagar, Matanggarh, Lilubhai Compound, Jaiswar Nagar, Jamroshi Nagar, within the limits of the police station. Cases are registered against them under NDPS law from time to time in Karar Police Station. To completely eradicate the drug trade by taking action on the illegal houses of the said drug dealers, on 7th September from 10:00 AM to 16:00 PM, Karar Police Station and the Forest Department jointly demolished 11 illegal houses. Under the guidance of Shuling Rajmane, North Zone 3, Mumbai and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sumita Nagar Division, Mumbai, under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector Sushil Kumar Gaikwad of Karar Police Station, the demolition operation was carried out jointly with the police officers and staff of Karar Police Station and officers and employees of the Forest Department. This has restored the trust of the people towards the police.

Mumbai: On September 7, the Anti-Narcotics Squad, Bandra Unit, Police Team, on information received, laid a trap and arrested 01 person for carrying Mephedrone (MD) for sale in this public place in the arm of Manus Buna Apartment Bus Stop, opposite West 10 Construction, CD Barfiwala Road, Andheri West, Mumbai. Mohammad Zaheb Abdul Aziz Khan, aged 36, resident of Andheri West, Mumbai. 153.6 grams of MD (value Rs. 4,60,800/-) was seized from the said accused.

Pune, Sep 8: Pune Crime Branch has busted an inter-state gang involved in stealing transformers and copper wires from them in and around the city, arresting three accused and recovering stolen property worth Rs 12.73 lakh, officials said on Tuesday.

According to police, the Unit 7 team was conducting patrols when Constable Vinayak Salve received confidential information that some people involved in transformer thefts would arrive in the Wadegaon area of Haveli taluka.

Acting on the information, Police Inspector Wahid Pathan directed PSI Rahul Kolpe to verify the information and initiate legal action. A trap was subsequently laid at Wadegaon, where police intercepted a goods tempo bearing registration number MH-12-GT-6675 on Sunday.

Three men travelling in the vehicle were detained and questioned. They were identified as Mohammed Sahebjaan Mangrekhan, 30, Adarsh Chandraprakash Pandey, 22, and Chandrasen Shivratan Dharia, 28. Police said all three are originally from Uttar Pradesh and were residing in Pune district.

During questioning, the accused confessed to stealing copper wires from eight transformers over the past five to six months. The thefts reportedly took place in Wadegaon, Ashtapur, Sangvi Sandas, Nhavi Sandas, and Hingangaon areas under the jurisdiction of Lonikand Police Station.

Police said the arrests helped solve eight cases registered at Lonikand Police Station under Section 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 136 of the Indian Electricity Act.

The three accused were arrested, and further investigation is underway to determine whether other people were involved in the gang and identify where the stolen copper material was being sold.

Earlier, on May 27, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police had arrested three members of a gang involved in 48 cases of electricity transformer theft across Pune district.

Chakan North police had cracked the case while investigating the theft of copper wires from a transformer installed at Nexus Healthcare in Biradwadi village, Khed taluka. The theft reportedly took place between May 15 and 16.
