Mahesh Babu Expresses Gratitude After Kamal Haasan Unveils Superstar Krishna’s Statue In Vijayawada
Actor Mahesh Babu expressed gratitude after Kamal Haasan unveiled the statue of his father and veteran actor Ghattamaneni Krishna. Taking to Instagram, Mahesh shared a video from the statue’s inaugural event. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Heartfelt gratitude to @ikamalhaasan sir and #DevineniAvinash garu for gracing the inaugural event of Krishna garu’s statue in Vijayawada. Truly honoured to have them unveil Nanna garu’s statue, a homage to the legacy he left behind! Also, a big thank you to all the fans from the bottom of my heart who made this event possible. Humbled by all the love”
Kamal Haasan on Friday unveiled the statue of Superstar Krishna in Vijayawada.
Kamal Haasan along with East Constituency YSRCP incharge Devineni Avinash unveiled the statue of Krishna installed in Guru Nanak Colony.
During media interaction YSRCP East Incharge Devineni Avinash said that “It is a pleasure to unveil here the idol of Telugu people’s favorite actor Krishna . Krishna is an actor who has made his mark in the Telugu industry.” “On behalf of the people of the city we thank to all film industry . Special thanks on behalf of Krishna’s family members to CM Jagan for helping to set up the Krishna statue within ten days,” Devineni Avinash added.
Krishna, originally known as Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, did around 350 films. He was also a producer and director. In 2009, he received the Padma Bhushan Award.
He entered Telugu cinema with Adurthi Subba Rao’s romantic drama ‘Thene Manasulu’ in 1965.
He passed away on November 15, 2022, in Hyderabad due to health issues.
After more than a week of his father’s demise, Mahesh Babu took to Instagram to express his feelings and emotions for his late father.
He penned a beautiful, heartwarming note on Instagram. He wrote, “Your life was celebrated… your passing is being celebrated even more… Such is your greatness. You lived your life fearlessly… daring and dashing was your nature. My inspiration… my courage… all that I looked up to and all that really mattered are gone just like that. But strangely, I feel this strength in me that I never really felt before… Now I’m fearless… Your light will shine in me forever… I will carry your legacy forward… I will make you even more proud… Love you Nanna.. My Superstar .”
2022 was a difficult year for Mahesh Babu. In January, he lost his elder brother Ramesh Babu and in September, he lost his mother Indira Devi.

Mumbai, Oct 9: Actress Katrina Kaif opened up about what has been the biggest learning from her relationships over the years.
As she was interacting with host and filmmaker Karan Johar during the chat show, ‘Koffee With Karan season 6’, she shared that she had realized over the years that we should not depend on anyone else for our happiness.
Katrina added that, according to her, the best kind of relationships are those where there is no dependence but only admiration, respect, and companionship.
The ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ actress said, “I had this discussion, not long back, with a few friends. They felt most women need men or it’s necessary to have a man. I really don’t think that’s true for everyone. I can’t speak for women as a collective, but it’s definitely not true for me being single. I’m becoming comfortable with who I am, which I don’t think I was for a large part of my life because you somehow judge yourself based on how much love or attention you get from your partner. When your relationship is amazing, you feel great about yourself. Your relationship suffers a little bit; your self-esteem and image take a beating, which is not a good thing.”
Revealing her idea of what a perfect relationship looks like, she added, “My biggest learning from my relationships is, ‘Nobody else is responsible for your happiness.’ You shouldn’t give away your power because you are burdening that person with responsibility. Nobody can take that responsibility for a long period of time. At some point they are going to let you down, or you let them down, and that’s when the relationship suffers. The most beautiful kind of love is when neither of you need each other. There’s no great dependence on the other person, there’s admiration, respect, companionship, and there’s a space of ease between you.”
Katrina is now happily married to actor Vicky Kaushal, and the two even have a son together, Vihaan.

Mumbai, Oct 9: Actor Ashish Vidyarthi revisited fond memories with veteran actor Nana Patekar as he shared a throwback video showing the latter showcasing his culinary skills.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Bichhoo’ actor shared the video, offering a glimpse into the moments they spent together. Along with the clip, he penned a heartfelt note remembering the time spent with the late actor. “Memories of some wonderful time spent together…Nana,” he wrote.
The video captures Nana Patekar in a relaxed setting as he prepares an omelette, offering a glimpse of the veteran actor beyond his on-screen persona. The video shows Ashish Vidyarthi enjoying the omelette and French toast prepared by Nana Patekar. Relishing the dish, Ashish said, “Nana made this, and it is amazing. Wow!” The video also captures a candid moment when Nana Patekar takes out some medicine and offers it to Ashish Vidyarthi, giving viewers another glimpse into their time together.
Ashish Vidyarthi and Nana Patekar have shared screen space in several films over the years, including Mahesh Manjrekar’s Yeshwant, followed by “Yugpurush,” directed by Partho Ghosh, and Manoj Kumar’s ensemble drama “Jai Hind.” The two actors are also associated with the crime drama “The Confession of Mary.”
Ashish and Nana share a friendly bond that extends beyond their professional association.

Raj Babbar, Anupam Kher, Rohit Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi also remembered the actor, reflecting on his remarkable body of work and his enduring impact on Indian cinema.
The Padma Shri recipient passed away on October 8, 2026, aged 75. As per reports, he was found unconscious at his Goa residence after complaining of severe chest discomfort.

Delhi HC issues summons on Kangana Ranaut’s plea seeking protection of personality rights

New Delhi, Oct 8: Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of her personality and publicity rights against the alleged unauthorised use and misuse of her identity, including through pornographic and obscene content posted across digital platforms.
A single-judge Bench of Justice Vikas Mahajan issued summons in the suit and also issued notice on the interim injunction application filed by the actress.
During the proceedings, counsel appearing for Ranaut submitted that she was aggrieved by pornographic and obscene content posted against her on social media.
The High Court asked Ranaut’s counsel to provide the names of the defendants against whom a takedown order was being sought, indicating that an appropriate order may be passed on the interim injunction application after the details are furnished.
It also directed the actress’ counsel to file a revised memo of parties after certain defendants were removed from the proceedings.
The matter has now been listed for further hearing on February 3, 2027.
The development comes amid a growing number of personality rights disputes before the Delhi High Court involving allegations of AI-generated impersonation, deepfakes, fake endorsements and unauthorised commercial exploitation of public figures’ identities.
In recent months, former cricketer Gautam Gambhir, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actors Arjun Kapoor, Allu Arjun, Nagarjuna, Varun Dhawan, Kajol, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, singer Jubin Nautiyal, filmmaker Karan Johar, podcaster Raj Shamani, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and actor Naga Chaitanya have secured or sought court protection against the unauthorised use of their identity, likeness or AI-generated imitations.
The Delhi High Court had recently passed an interim order directing the removal of certain objectionable online content featuring Bollywood actress Tabu while hearing her suit seeking protection of her personality and publicity rights against the unauthorised use of her identity across digital platforms.
