India logs 9,119 fresh Covid cases, 396 deaths in 24 hrs

India reported 9,119 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.

Also, as many as 396 fatalities were registered pushing the toll to 4,66,980, it said.

The recovery of 10,264 patients during the same period has increased the cumulative tally to 3,39,67,962. Consequently, the recovery rate stands at 98.33 per cent, highest since March 2020.

Currently, the active caseload stands at 1,09,940 constituting 0.32 per cent of the country’s total positive cases, the lowest since March 2020.

Also in the same period, a total of 11,50,538 tests were conducted. India has so far conducted over 63.59 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate at 0.90 per cent has remained less than 2 per cent for the last 62 days now.

The daily positivity rate stands at 0.79 per cent, which has also remained below 2 per cent for last 52 days and less than 3 per cent for 87 consecutive days now.

With the administration of 90,27,638 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid inoculation coverage has reached 119.38 crore as of Thursday morning.

This has been achieved through 1,23,73,056 in sessions.

More than 22.72 crore balance and unutilised Covd-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and UTs to be administered, according to the health ministry.

In the last 24 hours, India reported 3,805 fresh Covid-19 cases ad 26 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday.

The new fatalities pushed the nationwide death toll to 5,28,655.

The active caseload stood at 38,293, accounting for 0.09 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.

The recovery of 5,069 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,40,24,164. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.73 per cent.

The country’s daily and weekly positivity rates were 1.29 per cent and 1.39 per cent, respectively.

Also in the same period, a total of 2,95,416 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall tally to over 89.53 crore.

As of Saturday morning, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 218.68 crore.

Over 4.10 crore adolescents have been administered with a first dose of Covid-19 jab since the beginning of vaccination drive for this age bracket.

India reports 3,947 new Covid cases, 18 deaths

 India reported 3,947 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, against 4,272 reported on the previous day, said the Union Health Ministry on Friday.

In the same period, the country recorded 18 more deaths, taking the national Covid death toll to 5,28,629 as per the report.

The active caseload presently stands at 39,583 cases, accounting for 0.09 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.

The recovery of 5,096 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,40,19,095. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.73 per cent.

Meanwhile, India’s daily positivity rate has been reported to be 1.23 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.44 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 3,20,734 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall tally to over 89.50 crore.

As of Friday morning, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 218.17 crore.

Over 4.10 crore adolescents have been administered with a first dose of Covid-19 jab since the beginning of vaccination drive for this age bracket.

India logs 4,272 fresh Covid infections, 27 deaths

 India on Thursday reported 4,272 fresh Covid infections in the past 24 hours against the previous day’s 3,615 count, as per the Union Health Ministry data.

During the same period, 27 more Covid-related deaths took the nationwide death toll to 5,28,611.

Meanwhile, the active caseload stands at 40,750 cases, accounting for 0.09 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.

The recovery of 4,474 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,40,13,999. Consequently, the recovery rate stands at 98.72 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Daily Positivity rate has been reported to be 1.35 per cent and the Weekly Positivity Rate stands at 1.51 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 3,16,916 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall tally to over 89.47 crore.

As of this morning, the Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 218.17 crore.

Over 4.09 crore adolescents have been administered with a first dose of Covid-19 jab since the beginning of vaccination drive for this age bracket.
