Adah Sharma reveals she sleeps on the floor in Mumbai home once owned by Sushant Singh Rajput

Mumbai, Oct 13: Actress Adah Sharma has opened up about her minimalist lifestyle, revealing that her home, which was once occupied by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, does not have conventional furniture such as a bed, sofa or dining table.

The actress, known for her performance in ‘The Kerala Story’, spoke about her unusual approach to furnishing her home. In an exclusive quote shared with media, she explained that she prefers not to become too attached to material possessions. “I don’t have a bed because I don’t want to get too attached to anything. Especially furniture. Relationships are already complicated enough. Why buy a bed when gravity gives you a free landing every night? If you sleep on the floor, you can have the entire floor to yourself and that’s larger than any king-sized bed,” she said.

Adah further revealed that her home does not have a sofa or a dining table either. “I don’t have a bed, sofa or dining table. If you come home, we can either stand or develop strong leg muscles.”

Adah reportedly moved into the Mumbai apartment previously occupied by the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. It is being said that Sharma signed a five-year lease for the apartment in October 2023, clarifying that she was renting the property and had not purchased it.

She redesigned the space to reflect her minimalist lifestyle, opting for white walls, a prayer room on the lower floor, a terrace garden, a music room and a dance studio.

For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020, at the age of 34. During his career, the actor featured in several successful films, including “Chhichhore,” “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,” and “Kai Po Che!” His final film, “Dil Bechara,” was released after his death.

Meanwhile, Adah Sharma will be seen portraying a Devi in her upcoming film. She is also working on another action project and an international film.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana makers unveil first poster of Anupam Kher as Jatayu

Mumbai, Oct 13: The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana have unveiled the first poster of Jatayu, the revered character from the epic, who will be voiced by actor Anupam Kher.

Titled ‘The Wings of Dharma’, the poster features a close-up of Jatayu, highlighting his intense gaze, while another visual shows the majestic bird with his wings spread wide. The reveal is part of the film’s ongoing character poster campaign.

Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, “When evil took flight, courage rose to meet it. He fought not for victory, but for what was right. Jatayu. The Wings of Dharma. Anupam Kher as Jatayu in Ramayana.”

In the epic, Jatayu is remembered for his attempt to rescue Sita from Ravana. Despite knowing the risks, he confronts Ravana, embodying courage, sacrifice and dharma.

Until now, the makers have released the posters off Lord Ram, KaiiKai, and a few more others.

For the uninitiated, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two-part epic is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The first part of Ramayana is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, 2026, while the second part is slated for Diwali 2027. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The makers of Ramayana had recently held a promotional event in Mumbai, which saw global YouTuber MrBeast join the actor, Sai Pallavi and producer Namit Malhotra. However, the event drew criticism after it reportedly began around four hours late, with many media representatives expressing their angst over the delay and lack of communication from the organisers.

But the team further managed it smoothly. Meanwhile, reports have also suggested that Ranbir gave up non-vegetarian food and alcohol while preparing to portray Lord Rama. The actor had earlier spoken about adopting a vegetarian lifestyle and giving up alcohol and smoking as part of a broader effort to improve his health, although the claim that these changes were specifically made for the film has been a subject of discussion.

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya seeks travel restrictions on actor Imran Khan amid ongoing probe in a protest

Published

Mumbai, Oct 13: BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya has approached the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and immigration authorities, urging them to issue a Look Out Circular (LOC) against actor Imran Khan.

He has also requested that the actor be barred from leaving the country until an inquiry into his complaint and the investigation into a Mumbai police case are completed.

In a letter dated October 13 to Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Somaiya called on the Ministry of Home Affairs to issue directions preventing Khan from travelling abroad under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025. He also asked the Bureau of Immigration to issue an LOC against the actor and notify the police should he attempt to leave India.

The move comes after a protest at Mumbai’s August Kranti Maidan on October 10 where demonstrators demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. In his letter, Somaiya claimed that the gathering had taken place without the necessary permission. He further alleged that Khan had attended and participated in the protest before Mumbai Police detained him at the venue.

According to the letter, Gamdevi Police Station registered an FIR, numbered 813 of 2026, in connection with the incident, with Khan named in the case. Somaiya also stated that he had not received a copy of the FIR.

Somaiya claimed in his letter that Khan is a US citizen and reportedly holds an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card. He urged the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Bureau of Immigration to assess whether the actor’s participation in the protest calls for action under Section 7D of the Citizenship Act, 1955, and the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.

Somaiya also took to X to share a copy of the letter addressed to the Union Home Secretary, detailing his request for a Look Out Circular against actor Imran Khan. Sharing the same, he wrote, “Requested Immigration Home Ministry to issue a LOC ( look out circular) against #ImranKhan to NOT to leave India.”

Somaiya has further urged the Bureau of Immigration to alert Gamdevi Police Station if Khan attempts to travel outside India. He has also sought a written update from the concerned authorities on the steps taken in response to his request.

Actor Imran Khan was detained by Mumbai Police on October 10 while attending a demonstration at August Kranti Maidan. He had joined a protest organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
