Ajith Kumar does country proud again as his team comes third at 12H Mugello car race in Italy

Chennai, March 24: Actor Ajith Kumar’s car racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, is fast making winning a habit.

After having done the country proud earlier this year by emerging third in the 991 category of the 24H Dubai 2025, the actor and his racing team have now emerged third in the intensely contested 12H Mugello car racing event in Italy.

Ajith Kumar’s car racing team shared a video clip of the team celebrating on the podium on their X timeline, saying, “Victory in style! Team @Akracingoffl shines at the 12H Mugello, Italy, celebrating a fantastic podium finish! Kudos to @fabian_fdx89, @mathdetry , and @BasKoetenRacing for their stellar performance on the track!”

Now, with a second win under their belt, the team is gearing up for their next competition, which will be in Belgium.

Ajithkumar Racing said, “That’s another podium for Ajith Kumar Racing in Europe for the @24hseries 12h of Mugello P3 in the 992 AM category for our three lions. Next stop, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the 12h of Spa.”

For the uninitiated, Ajith is not only racing but is also the owner of the team Ajith Kumar Racing. Ajith’s other teammates who participate with him in races are Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux and Cameron McLeod. Ajith’s team has roped in Bas Koeten Racing as its technical and logistical partner.

What is interesting about this win is the admiration and respect that Ajith has earned by way of his dedication.

It may be recalled that Fabian Duffieux, who is one of the racers in Ajith’s team, had in February expressed his admiration for the star’s passion to race.

He had said,” What an improvement since our fest testing together in November! 1,38,4 today in Free practice at Valencia! This guy has the fire in him and he’s such a good fighter! Dedicated and motivated like I never saw before! Can’t wait to fight together in Mugello!”

Earlier this month, Fabian had also gone on to say, “Incredible how Ajith has improved over four months only! Coming from no experience in GT3 race cars! The first video was his fastest lap four months ago and the second one is the last weekend fastest lap! Four seconds faster! This guy has it in him!”

Interestingly, Ajith has said that he will not be signing any films until the racing season is on and that he would be doing a film between October and March, before the racing season commences.

It may be recalled that Ajith has continued to race, unfazed by car crashes that he has often suffered, both during practice sessions and during a race recently.

Disha Salian case: Fresh FIR names Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, Dino Morea

Mumbai, March 25: An FIR has been filed against Shiv Sena(UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi and others in Disha Salian’s death case, her father’s advocate said on Tuesday.

Satish Salian’s advocate Nilesh Ojha filed a fresh FIR in her death case. Ojha said that a written complaint has been filed with the police commissioner. In the FIR, the names of Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea and Suraj Pancholi have been mentioned.

According to Ojha, a written complaint to the police commissioner’s office was accepted by the joint commissioner of police (crime). The complaint is incorporated in the FIR. He further stated, “Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi and his bodyguard, Parambir Singh, Sachin Vaze and Rhea Chakraborty are all accused in the FIR.”

He claimed that Parambir Singh was the main mastermind for the coverup in the case. Ojha said, “Parambir Singh held a press conference and fabricated lies to save Aaditya Thackeray. NCB’s probe proves that Aaditya Thackeray was involved in a drug business and it has been also mentioned in the FIR.”

Ojha said that former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his associates hatched a conspiracy to suppress this serious crime. Some senior police officers were also involved in the conspiracy as they misused police and government machinery, created false police records, suppressed witnesses and tried to hide criminal evidence.

“It is my sincere request that all these acts should be immediately prosecuted under sections 376(D), 302, 409, 120(B), 107, 109, 166, 167 and other applicable sections of the IPC and strict action be taken against the accused,” said Ojha.

The move comes after Satish Salian recently filed a petition in the high court seeking a CBI probe into his daughter’s death. He had claimed that Disha was raped and murdered and he has named Aaditya Thackeray in the petition.

Disha Salian, who was a former manager of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after allegedly falling from the 14th floor of a highrise building in Mumbai. At the time, the Mumbai Police registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR). Six days later, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence. While the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the actor’s death probe, an SIT (Special Investigation Team) was constituted by the Maharashtra government in 2023 to investigate Disha’s death.

Mumbai, March 25: In a battle of Bollywood giants, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are facing off to claim the title of the real ‘Sikandar.’

As both stars have made significant marks in their careers with iconic roles, the question of who truly deserves the title of ‘Sikandar’ has even left filmmaker AR Murugadoss in a tough position. On Tuesday, Salman shared a video of him with Aamir and Murugadoss on his Instagram handle, writing, “Amar Prem ka Andaaz with AR Murugadoss! #SikandarMeetsGhajini #AamirKhan #SajidNadiadwala’s #Sikandar Directed by @a.r.murugadoss.”

Interestingly, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan share a great rapport. They had previously worked together in the iconic film “Andaz Apna Apna.” The two superstars often show mutual support for each other’s films, and this camaraderie is evident as part of Salman’s upcoming film “Sikandar” promotions. Not to forget, the ‘Wanted’ actor even made an appearance at the screening of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid’s debut film, showing his support for the young actor.

Meanwhile, Salman is currently busy promoting his next project, “Sikandar,” which marks his first on-screen pairing with Rashmika Mandanna. On March 23, the makers dropped its highly awaited trailer, packed with action and suspense. In the trailer, the ‘Dabangg’ actor takes on the titular role of Sikandar, a man driven by a strong sense of purpose.

Speaking at the trailer launch, the actor spoke about the age gap between superstars and younger actresses, sharing his thoughts on the evolving dynamics in the film industry. In his trademark style, Salman stated, “I have a 31-year age difference between me and the heroine. The heroine doesn’t have this problem. The heroine’s father doesn’t have this problem.” He then turned towards Rashmika and asked her, “You don’t have this problem, right?”

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, “Sikandar” is set to release in theatres on March 30, 2025.
