New Delhi, May 7: Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has bombed multiple terror bases and camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as well as Pakistan, two women officers of the Indian Armed Forces informed the media on Wednesday.
Colonel Sophia and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, in a press conference with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, said that the military strikes were carried out between 1.05 to 1.30 a.m. in the wee hours on Wednesday on credible intelligence inputs and the purpose was to decimate and destroy the terror infrastructure, terror launching pads and indoctrination centres across the border.
The women officers also documented the details of calibrated and measured retaliation and gave a detailed account of terror factories operating from those centres.
Terror camps bombed in PoK
Sawai Nala, Muzaffarabad – This was situated about 30 km from the Line of Control (LoC) and was a training centre of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Those who carried out terror strikes in Gulmarg in 2024, those who unleashed mayhem in Pahalgam on April 22, got trained at this centre.
Syedna Bilal, Muzaffarabad was a Jaish-e-Mohammed camp, which stands decimated now.
Kotli Gulpur was a noted Lashkar base. The operatives trained here used to inflict terror in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri and Poonch regions. The terrorists, who were trained here, had attacked the Amanath pilgrims last year.
Barnala, Bimber, another terror camp in PoK is 9 km away from the LoC. This used to serve as a storage centre for IED and weapons.
Kotli Abbas camp, located at 13 km from LoC was a Lashkar-e-Taiba base, and fidayeen bombers were trained here.
Terror Targets in Pakistan
Sarjal, Sialkot, located about 6 km from the International Border (IB), used to train terrorists. In March 2025, 5 J&K cops were killed, and the perpetrators who did it were trained here.
Bahalwapur, the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) was a hiring centre and indoctrination centre.
Mehmoona Joya, Sialkot, situated 8 km from IB, served as the Hizbul Mujahideen centre. Terrorists trained here had carried out attacks in Pathankot.
Markaj Taiba, Muridke, about 18-25 km from the IB. At this centre, 26/11 killers were trained, including Ajmal Kasab and David Headley.

Mumbai, May 7: Political parties in Maharashtra have welcomed the successful air strikes, titled Operation Sindoor, carried out by the Indian armed forces on nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The strikes were conducted in response to the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 innocent tourists were killed.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis posted on X, saying, “Jai Hind. Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde also reacted with a brief but emphatic, “Jai Hind.”

“In response to the attack, India broke the back of the terrorists through Operation Sindoor early this morning with planned, precise attacks. It is reported that nine terrorist camps were destroyed in the operation. We have sent a clear message — such action will continue until Pakistan-sponsored terrorism is completely eradicated,” he said.
Ajit Pawar congratulated the Indian armed forces, expressing the nation’s full faith in their capabilities and its unity in support of them.
He emphasized that political will is essential to undertake military action beyond the country’s borders. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s courageous and strong leadership has always demonstrated such will,” he said, while also congratulating Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for empowering the armed forces with complete freedom to act.

Former Defence Minister and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) president Sharad Pawar said, “Every Indian has full faith in the Indian Army, which protects the nation’s sovereignty by facing bullets on its chest. India destroys JeM’s Markaz Subhan Allah terror camp in Pakistan’s Bahawalpur

New Delhi, May 7: In a major counter-terrorism offensive, India on Wednesday destroyed ‘Markaz Subhan Allah’, the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror headquarters and training facility in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
Once a key base for terrorist operations, the site has been reduced to rubble, signalling a strong response to ongoing cross-border threats.
Videos show the extent of damage caused to the terrorist base. The morning visuals show the building reduced to rubble with gaping holes in the roof and concrete lying all around.
Although bodies could not be seen in the available video but fallen slabs could be seen.
The video also shows a few men scurrying around the fallen building. The video was shot in the day’s light after the airstrikes by the Indian Air Force and exhibits the precision power of the force.
Bahawalpur is deep inside Pakistan and is the 12th largest city, and serves as the nerve centre of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The JeM has been responsible for multiple attacks on Indian soil over the past two decades.
Located around 161 km from the India-Pakistan border, Bahawalpur houses the group’s operational headquarters at the Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah, also known as the Usman-o-Ali campus.
India successfully destroyed terrorists’ hideouts here and exposed the total failure of the Pakistan air defence.
India on Wednesday conducted precision strikes targeting nine key terror infrastructure sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Code-named Operation Sindoor, it was jointly executed by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, utilising special precision munitions.
In a military operation following the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking nine high-value terror targets deep inside Pakistani territory.
The operation, executed with surgical precision, was closely monitored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior security officials through the night.
The Indian Army also confirmed that the strikes were meticulously planned and executed, ensuring that no civilian or military infrastructure in Pakistan was affected.
The operation targeted infrastructure linked to terror groups responsible for the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said the Prime Minister remained in constant communication with top military commanders and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during the operation.
According to official statements, the nine targets included camps and logistical bases associated with terror groups operating from within Pakistan and PoK.
