‘Doles Targeting Women Will Stop In 2 To 3 Months,’ Says Shiv Sena UBT Chief Uddhav Thackeray
Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday accused the Eknath Shinde government of luring women voters with the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana ahead of Maharashtra assembly polls and asserted the initiative will stop in two to three months.
Addressing party workers at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Sunday, he also renewed his demand to waive farm loans in line with the government’s announcement of a scheme to write off the electricity bills of farmers.
Uddhav also sought a satisfactory solution on the Maratha and OBC reservation from the government. He claimed that the Mahayuti government will not come into power again and if it comes, then they will wrap up the Ladki Bahin Scheme.
Sops Announced In The Budget
In the budget tabled in the assembly last week, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced sops ahead of state polls, which are likely to be held in October and November. Uddhav alleged that this government has nothing to offer to the people. It is a ‘jumlebaz’ government, Mahayuti government is encouraging quarrels among communities. He requested people to not fight each other on caste and ensured them that he was with them for their lawful demands.
“You come up with a reasonable and comprehensive solution, I will support you,” Uddhav Thackeray said to the government. Uddhav also appealed to the government to convene meetings with OBC activist Laxman Hake and Maratha activist Manoj Jarange-Patil and advised to tell them the truth about whether the government can give reservation to them. “Why government is playing with the lives of these people?” Uddhav asked.
Uddhav Thackeray Accuses BJP Of Driving A Wedge Between Castes In Maharashtra
Thackeray accused the BJP of driving a wedge between castes in Maharashtra.
“I appeal to the Maratha, OBC and Dhangar activists not to fight each other. If lakhs of people can come together to celebrate the World Cup victory then can’t we come for our lawful rights?” asked Uddhav.
Uddhav also appealed to the activists of all communities to come together and hold meetings with the CM and DCM. If there is a need to increase the limit of reservation percentage then inform them to pass a resolution in assembly and send it to the Parliament for further action. I will support the said resolution unconditionally, he added.
While targeting Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Uddhav alleged that they had stolen the victory. They stole symbol, name and used Balasaheb Thackeray to win the Lok Sabha election.

Mumbai Metro 3 At A Standstill For 20 Minutes? What Caused The Sudden Halt On Aqua Line

Mumbai: Commuters on the Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) faced disruption on Monday, March 23, after services came to a halt for nearly 20 minutes due to a technical issue, causing inconvenience during peak travel hours.
The metro remained stationary with its doors open for an extended period from 8.40 am to 8.57 am, leading to confusion inside the coach. Within a few minutes of the halt, an announcement informed commuters that the train had been stopped owing to a technical difficulty, while also apologising for the delay.
Sources from customer care services indicated that the disruption was allegedly caused by a technical issue in one of the metro cars near MIDC on the Aarey stretch. As both directions operate on single lines that are connected, the snag affected movement on both the sides, resulting in the entire Line 3 corridor being brought to a temporary standstill.
After remaining halted for close to 20 minutes, the doors eventually closed and the train resumed movement, albeit at a slower pace initially.
Further details regarding the exact nature of the technical fault are yet to be officially disclosed.
This disruption comes just days after commuters on Mumbai Metro Line 3 reported a complete loss of Vodafone network connectivity within the underground corridor. While Vodafone services were earlier functional between Aarey and Acharya Atre Chowk stations, users took to social media to highlight that the network had also stopped working, even as Jio and Airtel services have remained unavailable in the stretch. The development has raised concerns among passengers, particularly over safety during emergencies.
Mobile network services inside Metro Line 3 have been impacted after the third-party infrastructure provider was reportedly switched off for failing to meet contractual conditions. The report further noted that the installation of a new system may take time, leaving commuters without connectivity for the foreseeable future.

CoinDCX Co-Founders Arrested In Mumbai In ₹71 Lakh Crypto Fraud Case; Company Calls FIR ‘False’

Co-founders of crypto exchange CoinDCX, Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal, were arrested after a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at a Mumbai police station in connection with an alleged cryptocurrency fraud case.
According to the complaint, a person claimed that he was cheated of Rs. 71 lakh in a crypto scam, prompting the police to initiate action.
Reports had earlier suggested that the two founders were summoned for questioning before the arrests.
Reacting to the development, CoinDCX strongly denied any wrongdoing and termed the FIR “false” and part of a larger conspiracy against the company.
In a statement posted on X, the company said that the alleged fraud did not involve its official platform, but instead occurred through a fake website impersonating CoinDCX and its founders.
“The FIR filed against our co-founders is false and filed as a conspiracy against CoinDCX by impersonators posing as founders of CoinDCX and cheating the public at large,” the company said. It added that it had already issued public notices warning users about such fraudulent activities.
The company further clarified that the complaint wrongly claims that funds were transferred in cash to third-party accounts that have no connection with CoinDCX.
It emphasised that brand impersonation and cyber frauds are becoming a growing concern in India’s digital finance ecosystem.
CoinDCX said it has identified more than 1,200 fake websites impersonating its platform between April 2024 and January 2026, and has repeatedly cautioned users against falling prey to such scams.
It also said that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement agencies in the ongoing investigation.
Founded in 2018, CoinDCX is one of India’s leading cryptocurrency trading platforms. The company has faced challenges in recent times, including a major cyberattack in 2025 in which hackers breached an internal operational account and stole assets worth $44 million.
However, the company had then said that user funds were not affected and that it had strengthened its security systems following the incident.
