Just keeping this issue in mind, All India Sunni Jamiat Ulama Mumbai has organized a society reform conference on 11th December 2022 (Sunday) at Sunni Masjid Bilal Shuklaji Street Mumbai 8 from 10 am. Imams and religious leaders from several districts of Maharashtra are expected to participate in the conference of Ahlus Sunnat Reform Society.

In the context of the current situation of the country and the nation, the leaders of Muslims, political, social, economic, religious, organizations are responsible. The experts in science, economics and the servants of the nation and the nation in this grand state-wide conference focused on the belief in ending the prophethood and temptation of apostasy, registration of mosques and madrassas, what is the future plan of action on the educational and economic conditions of Muslims tomorrow. ? Measures to protect the society from drugs, service to the people in the light of Islamic teachings, mutual communication between dynamic organizations and reforming the society will be discussed on important topics.

Alhaj Saeed Noori, the founder of Raza Academy, expressed his views and said that… An important topic in this is the teachings of parents that I see that today’s generation is becoming a victim of misguidance and obscenity!! And one of the main reasons for this is the discount given by parents to their children!! Young and old are also misusing social media and tending towards nudity and f**king, so there is a dire need to educate them and bring them on the right path. In this meeting, the use of DJ in the sandal procession and extravagance of money were also discussed, especially on the occasion of Urs of the Elders. And everyone expressed regret that lakhs and crores of rupees are being wasted only on DJ, while how many Muslims will be relieved if the needy and poor Muslims are helped with this money. This conference will be moderated by Maulana Maqsood Ali Khan Noori, General Secretary of All India Sunni Jamiat Ulama, Mumbai.

Mumbai Civic Body Elections to Be Held on January 15; Counting Scheduled for January 16

Mumbai: (Kamar Ansari) The State Election Commission has announced that elections to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will be conducted on January 15, with the counting of votes scheduled for January 16. The announcement brings clarity on the long-awaited civic polls in India’s financial capital.

The Election Commission announced the schedule for elections to 29 municipal corporations, stating that nomination papers for all municipal corporation polls will be accepted only in offline mode, and the voter list will be based on the July 25, 2025 electoral roll.

Scrutiny of Applications: December 31, 2025

Withdrawal of Candidature: January 2, 2026

Final Candidate List & Symbol Allotment: January 3, 2026

Thane Lok Adalat Settles 11,827 Pending E-Challan Cases, Collects ₹1.32 Crore In Fines

Thane: As many as 11,827 pending e-challan cases have been settled by the Lok Adalat in Thane and fines of Rs 1.32 crore deposited in court, officials said on Monday.

Under the Motor Vehicles Act, traffic violators are issued e-challans, which are sent directly to their mobile phones, and cases are filed against those who ignore payments, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Pankaj Shirsat said.

Following an appeal by the Thane city transport department, vehicle owners were offered an opportunity to clear the outstanding fines.

The Lok Adalat was held on Saturday, and 11,827 cases were settled and fines of Rs 1.32 crore were collected, the official said.

The drive aimed at resolving long-pending cases against motorists who had failed to pay fines imposed for traffic rule violations.

“The Lok Adalat is not only a penal measure but also an awareness initiative to encourage citizens to follow traffic rules, reduce accidents and avoid the burden of fines,” Shirsat added.

Maharashtra: Abu Asim Azmi presents bill in the House against religious hatred and blasphemy, application of MCOCA and UAPA also included in the draft bill

Mumbai: Nagpur Samajwadi Party leader and MLA Abu Asim Azmi presented a private bill in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly against those who spread blasphemy and religious hatred. The bill demands action against hate elements and calls for action under MCOCA and UAPA against those who spread religious hatred, in addition to ten years of imprisonment and a bail of Rs 2 lakh so that sectarians do not get bail and such cases of spreading religious hatred are banned. He told the House that there has been an increase in cases of blasphemy in the country and in such a situation, tension arises in the country. Action should be taken against such elements to maintain law and order. This will be possible only when action is taken against such sectarians who promote a hate agenda under the guise of freedom of expression. He said that the Supreme Court had also issued an order for strict action against hate elements and miscreants and has banned inflammatory and hate speech. In such a situation, Maharashtra The bill has been formally introduced in the House to take action against those who spread religious hatred and incite hatred against important people. The draft bill proposes to register a case against communalists under the section of the MCOCA UAPA, which carries a maximum sentence of ten years, so that such elements cannot be granted bail.
