Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana makers unveil first poster of Anupam Kher as Jatayu
Mumbai, Oct 13: The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana have unveiled the first poster of Jatayu, the revered character from the epic, who will be voiced by actor Anupam Kher.
Titled ‘The Wings of Dharma’, the poster features a close-up of Jatayu, highlighting his intense gaze, while another visual shows the majestic bird with his wings spread wide. The reveal is part of the film’s ongoing character poster campaign.
Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, “When evil took flight, courage rose to meet it. He fought not for victory, but for what was right. Jatayu. The Wings of Dharma. Anupam Kher as Jatayu in Ramayana.”
In the epic, Jatayu is remembered for his attempt to rescue Sita from Ravana. Despite knowing the risks, he confronts Ravana, embodying courage, sacrifice and dharma.
Until now, the makers have released the posters off Lord Ram, KaiiKai, and a few more others.
For the uninitiated, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two-part epic is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
The first part of Ramayana is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, 2026, while the second part is slated for Diwali 2027. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The makers of Ramayana had recently held a promotional event in Mumbai, which saw global YouTuber MrBeast join the actor, Sai Pallavi and producer Namit Malhotra. However, the event drew criticism after it reportedly began around four hours late, with many media representatives expressing their angst over the delay and lack of communication from the organisers.
But the team further managed it smoothly. Meanwhile, reports have also suggested that Ranbir gave up non-vegetarian food and alcohol while preparing to portray Lord Rama. The actor had earlier spoken about adopting a vegetarian lifestyle and giving up alcohol and smoking as part of a broader effort to improve his health, although the claim that these changes were specifically made for the film has been a subject of discussion.

Salman Khan, KJo reveal ‘major production hiccup’ during ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ climax

Mumbai, Oct 14: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and his superstar guest Salman Khan will be seen sharing some interesting anecdotes about the 1998 film “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” in the ultimate season of the chat show “Koffee With Karan Season 9”.
On the premiere episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9, Karan revealed how Salman was onboarded for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, after several leading actors turned down the supporting role.
Recalling the meeting, Karan shared that Khan casually told him, “You’ve been shopping, come narrate the film to me tomorrow.”
Karan arrived at Khan’s apartment and began narrating the film. Salman, dressed in striking yellow shorts, agreed to come sign the film without even hearing the entire narration.
He said yes despite the filmmaker telling him that there would be no remuneration for the special appearance.
The duo also spoke about the close bond between their families, recalling how Karan’s father personally flew to Mauritius to help secure government permissions for Salman’s then-ongoing shoot for Hello Brother.
They also reminisced about a major production hiccup during the climax of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, where the camera operator accidentally shot the entire sequence in slow motion, forcing a complete reshoot. Salman then pushed his next shoot back by a day to stay back and complete the sequence.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and Sana Saeed.
Set primarily across two time periods, the narrative follows the love-triangle between college friends Rahul, Anjali, and Tina. Years later, Rahul’s young daughter attempts to reunite him with his former best friend.
The film won numerous awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The film remains a landmark in Hindi cinema for its cultural impact, music, and fashion influence.
New Episodes of Koffee with Karan Season 9 will air on JioHotstar.

Farhana Bhatt shares unseen glimpses with Rubina Dilaik, Avinash Mishra from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’ shoot

Mumbai, Oct 14: Actress Farhana Bhatt has shared a series of unseen glimpses from the shoot of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, offering fans a peek into her off-screen moments with fellow contestants Rubina Dilaik, Avinash Mishra, Orry and others.
The actress posted pictures from her time on the stunt-based reality show, capturing moments of travel and celebrations. In one picture, she is seen posing for a selfie with Rubina and Avinash, while other pictures feature her enjoying the trip, sipping coffee and posing against the backdrop of scenic locations.
She also shared pictures from a hotel celebration, dressed in winter outfits during the trip, and moments with the contestants as they bonded away from the stunt arena.
Farrhana first grabbed attention with her stint in the reality show, ‘Bigg Boss 19’, where her outspoken personality, fiery temper and confrontational approach made her one of the season’s most discussed contestants.
Although she was initially evicted by her fellow housemates, she returned through a twist and went on to finish as the first runner-up, losing the title to Gaurav Khanna.
During her stint on the Salman Khan-hosted show, Farrhana frequently found herself at the centre of arguments. Her choice of words during heated exchanges and her tendency to react strongly drew criticism, with Salman reprimanding her on many occasions during ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’.
However, she continued to stand her ground and remained a prominent presence throughout the season.
Following ‘Bigg Boss 19’, Farrhana took on another challenge with ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
During the grand finale of the show, she spoke about the anxiety she experienced before tasks and how the experience pushed her beyond her perceived limits. She also shared a warm bond with Rubina, describing her as a confident, caring and supportive person.

Adah Sharma reveals she sleeps on the floor in Mumbai home once owned by Sushant Singh Rajput

Mumbai, Oct 13: Actress Adah Sharma has opened up about her minimalist lifestyle, revealing that her home, which was once occupied by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, does not have conventional furniture such as a bed, sofa or dining table.
The actress, known for her performance in ‘The Kerala Story’, spoke about her unusual approach to furnishing her home. In an exclusive quote shared with media, she explained that she prefers not to become too attached to material possessions. “I don’t have a bed because I don’t want to get too attached to anything. Especially furniture. Relationships are already complicated enough. Why buy a bed when gravity gives you a free landing every night? If you sleep on the floor, you can have the entire floor to yourself and that’s larger than any king-sized bed,” she said.
Adah further revealed that her home does not have a sofa or a dining table either. “I don’t have a bed, sofa or dining table. If you come home, we can either stand or develop strong leg muscles.”
Adah reportedly moved into the Mumbai apartment previously occupied by the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. It is being said that Sharma signed a five-year lease for the apartment in October 2023, clarifying that she was renting the property and had not purchased it.
She redesigned the space to reflect her minimalist lifestyle, opting for white walls, a prayer room on the lower floor, a terrace garden, a music room and a dance studio.
For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020, at the age of 34. During his career, the actor featured in several successful films, including “Chhichhore,” “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,” and “Kai Po Che!” His final film, “Dil Bechara,” was released after his death.
Meanwhile, Adah Sharma will be seen portraying a Devi in her upcoming film. She is also working on another action project and an international film.
