Allu Arjun Breaks Down At Pushpa 2 Event During Director Sukumar’s Speech In Hyderabad
Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun was moved to tears on Monday at a pre-release event of his upcoming film, Pushpa 2, in Hyderabad, after director Sukumar showered him with love and respect. The actor was seen smiling through his tears during the director’s emotional speech, in which he thanked Allu Arjun for trusting his vision.
A grand event was held in Hyderabad on Monday just days before Pushpa 2 finally hits theatres across India. At the event, Sukumar stated that Pushpa 1 and Pushpa 2 were only possible because of the love he has for ‘Bunny’ and the trust that the actor placed in him. “For even the smallest expression, Bunny puts in incredible efforts — whether it’s moving an eyelid or delivering a perfect voice modulation. That level of commitment inspires any filmmaker,” Sukumar said.
The director also revealed that when he approached Allu Arjun for Pushpa, he did not even have the full script ready, but the actor trusted in his process. “Bunny’s energy drives me to create. Pushpa has set a new benchmark, and everyone involved had to rise to that level,” he gushed.
Apologising to Allu Arjun for blocking him for three years for Pushpa 2, Sukumar joked, “I can’t trouble him with Pushpa-3 anytime soon.”
An emotional Allu Arjun was seen wiping his tears and laughing as Sukumar ended his speech.
Pushpa 2 is all set to hit the silver screens on December 5 across India, and the unprecedented hype and anticipation for the film has already started reflecting in the advance booking numbers. So far, the film has earned Rs 50 crore in advance bookings alone, and it is now poised to be one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
Pushpa 2 also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist. Besides, Sreeleela will be seen performing a special dance number with Allu Arjun, titled Kissik.
