Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan is all set to tie the knot this weekend with longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal and wedding festivities have already begun in Alibaug. On Saturday, as per latest development, the actor arrived at the venue for his Sangeet ceremony.

Varun wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans along with a mask as he stepped out of the car and made his way into the venue, briefly stopping to pose for the press cameras. His parents David and Karuna Dhawan, and brother Rohit Dhawan with wife and daughter, were snapped by paparazzi in Alibaug, kicking off wedding festivities.

Apart from Varun and Natasha and their family members, filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, filmmaker Kunal Kohli with family, Varun’s niece Anjini Dhawan, and fashion designer Manish Malhotra have also arrived at the venue. Many other celebrities are expected to be part of the wedding festivities during the weekend.

The Dhawans have blocked an entire resort facing the beach in Alibaug and are planning a grand yet restricted wedding ceremony. The wedding functions will extend over three days, on January 22, 23 and 24, with guests following the bio bubble protocol. The guests list includes immediate family members of the couple along with close friends and colleagues.

The resort chosen as the wedding venue is called The Mansion House, a popular spot for destination weddings in Alibaug.

Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, childhood sweethearts, had reportedly planned to het married last year but were forced to postpone their wedding because of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.

As per reports, household and home staff’s phones will be sealed while on premises. It’s a strict order from the bride-to-be Natasha since she doesn’t want their pictures to be leaked on social media.

There is a strict No Phone Policy in place for all the wedding functions.
The wedding will take place at The Mansion House on January 24 followed by a reception on January 26.

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s over-the-top Poo from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ is one of the most memorable and loved roles from the actress’s career. The Bollywood diva herself finds it unbelievable that even after 21 years of the film’s release the character is still relevant amongst all age-groups.

Kareena’s character Poo is not only known for her taste in fashion but also one liners such as “Kaun hai yeh jisne dobara mudke mujhe nahi dekha”, ‘P.H.A.T – Pretty, Hot And Tempting’ and “Tumhe koi haq nahi banta ki tum itni khoobsurat lago. Not fair” among many others.

Asked if she feels that Poo deserves a movie to herself, Kareena, in conversation with IANS, said: “Oh God! Like I think now this character is so relevant with this generation more than it was then.”

Kareena talks about what makes the character, which comes from Chandni Chowk in New Delhi and then moves to London with her sister essayed by Kajol and brother-in-law played by Shah Rukh Khan, have such a massive fan following.

“I think for the way she is, the way she talks, the kind of millennial Gen-Z kinda words that she uses connect somehow.”

The 41-year-old actress added: “So, I think it is because of that more than anything else. Let’s see a film someday, who knows.”

Kareena’s latest release is ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ starring Aamir Khan. The film is an adaptation of Tom Hanks’ iconic movie ‘Forest Gump’. It also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged Bollywood actor Aamir Khan who expressed his willingness to visit the state on the eve of Independence Day to plan the trip after the conclusion of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ celebrations.

“Aamir Khan spoke to me and he intended to come to Assam during the Independence Day celebration. But it may shift focus from Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav… hence I told him to fix a date after August 15,” Sarma told the mediapersons here on Friday.

The Chief Minister, however, said that he has good terms with Khan and they often speak over the telephone.

Though the intent to visit Assam is unknown, sources said Khan wanted to promote his latest release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which is a remake of the iconic film ‘Forrest Gump’.

It could not be known if the actor has agreed to come to Assam after Independence Day.

Khan’s latest film has been embroiled in controversy for the last few days. Some sections were calling for a boycott of the film claiming that the Aamir Khan-starrer was disrespectful towards the Indian Army.

Notably, Khan had earlier extended a helping hand to the flood-affected people of Assam by making a contribution of Rs 25 lakh towards the CM Relief Fund.
