Rajkummar Rao and DK resolve dispute over ‘Stree’ with Dinesh Vijan

The producers of the Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree have amicably resolved their differences over a financial issue.

The Amar Kaushik directorial, which had released in August 2018, was co-produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of D2R Films.

The differences was reportedly over profits of the film, upon its release.

On Thursday, an official statement was jointly issued by the producers, informing they have resolved their issues amicably.

The statement reads: “We, Maddock Films Pvt Ltd (and its promoter Mr. Dinesh Vijan) & D2R Films LLP (and its partners Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK) are pleased to confirm that we have amicably resolved our differences with regard to our film Stree which released in August 2018. All copyright & intellectual property rights in & to the film Stree including the derivative rights thereof are henceforth owned solely by Maddock Films Pvt Ltd.”

The horror comedy film was a hit. The film also features Flora Saini, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles.

Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor leave for Delhi for ‘Bell Bottom’ trailer launch

 Actors Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor were spotted at the international airport here on Tuesday, as they left for Delhi to launch the trailer of their upcoming film ‘Bell Bottom’.

This will be the first big film promotion taking place in New Delhi from the time the Covid-19 pandemic started.

Producers Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani were also spotted leaving for the capital.

Akshay was also accompanied by wife Twinkle Khanna, son Aarav and daughter Nitara.

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ to release this year on Christmas

Actor Allu Arjun’s much awaited film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has been locked for a Christmas release this year.

Confirming the news, producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers said in a joint statement: “‘Pushpa’ is an action-packed story that has moments that tug at the heart and filming it has been a joyride.”

The added: “The film has already created a lot of buzz among the audiences and we are thrilled to announce that the first part will get a Christmas release this year. We can’t wait for the fans to watch it and shower their never ending love to the entire team of ‘Pushpa’. We have decided to release the second part of the movie in the year 2022.”

The film was trending on social media on Monday, after the teaser of its first track ‘Jaago Jango bakre’ was released. The song will be releasing in five different languages.

The film starring, Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, will release in two parts. While the first part is set to release on Christmas this year, the next part is scheduled to release in 2022.

Chunky Panday reveals songs he wants to be remade

Actor Chunky Panday is moving ahead with the tide. He shared that he would love that the numbers he featured in get remade and that he gets to star in them as he says “songs make you live forever”.

“I have been lucky with music. I have had some great songs like ‘Saajan aajao’ from my first film ‘Aag hi Aag’, then ‘Main tera tota’ from ‘Paap Ki Duniya’ and I was so lucky that Kishore da (Kishore Kumar) had sung that song,” Chunky told IANS.

The actor shared that he would also love to star in the revamped version of his numbers.

He said: “Then ‘Saat samundar paar’ from ‘Vishwatma’ and ‘Laal dupatte wali’ from ‘Aankhein’… ‘So gaya yeh jaahan’ has been remixed and so has ‘Saat samundar’…”

The 58-year-old star added: “But of course I would love my songs to be remixed and I would love to be part of it again even though I am not that young but I would surely love to behave like that. Songs make you live forever.”
