Actress Kangana Ranaut on Tuesday took a jibe at trolls using a hashtag demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has been trending on Twitter.

“Modi ji does not know how to lead, Kangana does not know how to act, Sachin does not know how to bat, Lata ji does not know how to sing, magar these chindi trolls know everything, please #Resign_PM_Modi ji and make one of these Vishnu avatar trolls next Prime Minister of India,” Kangana tweeted.

The hashtag #Resign_PM_Modi has been trending on Twitter since morning with a section of netizens blaming the Prime Minister for the second wave of the pandemic in India.

Commenting on the actress’ tweet, netizens expressed their mind. Some users feel PM Modi should not have permitted mass gatherings like Kumbh Mela and election rallies at a time when the second wave of Covid-19 was on.

“Don’t get hyper for everything u also should realise this time he has made some mistakes like kumbh and elections rallies. It’s time for him to act as a countries PM and take the onus on him and assure everyone he will make it right,” commented a user.

There were many others who supported PM Modi and Kangana, too. “Why you people always blaming Modiji for every reason. We are responsible for this situation, we have not maintained social distancing, not wore mask etc. state govt has all rights to take decisions, why they have not taken,” wrote a user.

Director Amit Masurkar: ‘Sherni’ was a difficult film to score music

“Sherni” director Amit Masurkar has opened up on the music of the film, saying he is glad to have collaborated with composers Naren Chandavarkar and Benedict Taylor for the project.

“‘Sherni’ was a difficult film to score because of the complex intersections in the story. I felt safe with Naren and Benedict. I knew they would put the story and the theme first. They have the sensitivity and depth to understand a layered narrative and not judge characters or events. They are open-minded, collaborative and have a genuine love for cinema,” Amit tells IANS.

The music composers made their foray into the industry with Anurag Kashyap’s “That Girl In Yellow Boots” and shot to fame with “Udta Punjab” and “Newton”.

Talking about working with Amit again after “Newton”, Benedict says: “With ‘Newton’, we got in on the project quite late but with ‘Sherni’ we were part of it much earlier on. By then we had already developed a comfort level and understanding with Amit.”

Naren adds: “He (Amit), along with writer Aastha Tiku and the editor Dipika Kalra, didn’t discuss the brief in terms of music, but more the politics and ideas they wanted to come across. They trusted our vision and encouraged us to take it in a musical direction we felt appropriate. This coupled with the delicate moral balance they had outlined made it both a freeing and challenging process.”
