India’s startup ecosystem is today a world attraction: PM Narendra Modi

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India’s startup ecosystem has become an attraction in the world and is a matter of discussion everywhere. The PM said that India’s personality was getting echoed globally and being taken note of these days.

The PM was speaking at the Gandhi Ashram in Sabarmati after flagging off a replica of the famous Dandi yatra, carried out 91 years ago by Mahatma Gandhi to oppose the salt cess levied by the British.

Modi said: “We are leaving a lasting impression on the science and information sector. India’s startup ecosystem is a world attraction today and a matter of discussion everywhere. India’s capability and personality is getting echoed all across every global platform. Today India is moving towards fulfilling the aspirations of its 130 crore citizens.”

“We are fortunate that we are celebrating 75 years of Independence and the 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose simultaneously. This is not only a coincidence but a combination of the vision of India’s past and future. Subhash Chandra Bose had rightly said that India’s freedom struggle is not only against British emperical rule but also against the global empirical rule,” the Prime Minister said.

“Netaji termed India’s freedom struggle necessary for the entire humankind. With the passage of time, Netaji’s saying has been proved true. After India’s Independence, many other nations also became free from empires and empirical rule came to an end in the entire world,” the PM said.

Speaking on India’s achievements, the Prime Minister said, “Today our achievements are not only for us, but showing the path to the entire humankind. India’s developmental path, intermingled with Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) will be the pathway for the entire world. In the times of Corona, this is also being proved. The entire world is benefiting from the Atmanirbharta of India in vaccine manufacturing. We are helpful in getting rid of everybody’s pain and sorrow. But while doing so we are sacrificing ourselves. This is India’s ideology,” said the PM.

“Today, countries of the world are congratulating India, putting their trust in India. This is the first glimpse of our glorious future,” the PM said.

The Prime Minister on Friday flagged off a replica of the famous Dandi Yatra at the Sabarmati ashram in which 81 ‘Pad yatris’ will reach Dandi on April 6 after completing the 386-kilometre route.

The PM also launched the ‘Azadi ka Amrit’ festival website and the ‘Charkha’ campaign and Atmanirbharta incubator.

UP Shia Central Waqf Board member and its former chairman, Waseem Rizvi, has printed and self-published the first compilation of what he has calls ‘The Real Quran’.

Rizvi said he will send the book to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) chief.

Rizvi’s book has omitted 26 Quranic verses that he claims, were promoting terror. He claimed that these verses were added after the death of Prophet Muhammad.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had levied a fine of Rs 50,000 on Rizvi and dismissed his plea, seeking the apex court’s intervention into removing these 26 verses.

He has re-filed the petition in the Supreme Court.

In a video, Rizvi said, “I have printed the first Real Quran, how it should have been after Prophet Muhammad. I will send this copy to AIMPLB chief to study so he may realize how much of a difference this book will make to end terrorism and violence.”

He said that he has also sent a copy of ‘The Real Quran’ to the Prime Minister with a request that it should be made a part of the curriculum on all madrasas. He said that it will be available in the market soon.

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the Congress party joins a grateful nation in remembrance of the supreme sacrifice made by 20 brave soldiers of the Bihar Regiment in Galwan Valley, including their commanding officer, who lost their lives in the confrontation with PLA troops of China on the night of 14-15 June 2020.

Her statement has come on the first anniversary of the Galwan Valley standoff.

“Having patiently waited for the government to come clean and inform the nation about the circumstances in which the unprecedented incident happened and reassure the people that the sacrifice of our brave jawans was not in vain, the Congress Party reiterates its concern that no clarity is yet available and the Prime Minister’s last word on the subject a year ago was that no transgression had occurred,” she said.

She added that the Congress has repeatedly sought details of the episode in light of the PM’s statement, as well as details of what progress has been made towards restoring the status quo ante prior to April 2020. “The disengagement agreement with China appears to have worked entirely to India’s disadvantage so far,” the statement said.

“The Congress Party urges the government to take the nation into confidence and ensure that their performance is worthy of the commitment of our soldiers who are standing bravely and resolutely at the borders.”
