Hindu Sena Wrote Letter To Modi Government To Ban Quran, Says It’s A Threat To National Security

Vishnu Gupta, a right-wing group Hindu Sena president, has demanded a ban on Quran, claiming that the book incite violence and it is a major threat to national security. This is not all, he even wrote a letter to the Home Ministry on Monday regarding the same.

As per Vishnu Gupta, he bought this book in one of the New Delhi-based book score and read the whole book. In a letter he wrote, “I found therein (in book) many contradictions and shocking instances of violence on non-Muslims and ex-Muslims as well as bribing people to enjoy an imaginary Islamic Paradise.”

 

He further wrote about Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, “The government of India initiated legal proceedings against a dangerous Islamic preacher like Zakir Naik but the truth is Zakir Naik was and is inspired by teachings of this book Quran and his actions and speeches are congruent with the contents and message of The Quran.”

He again wrote, the chief”inspirational manual of Islamic terrorism The Quran itself”.

When Mumbai Press contacted to Vishnu Gupta, he said, ” I have sent a letter to Home Ministry with enough proofs to Ban Quran. If things didn’t go down well then I will also approach to Supreme court.”

When Mumbai Press contacted to Asaduddin Owaisi, he said, “It is just a publicity stunt. We need to ignore such things as it is of no use.”

Mumbai Press even reached to Advocate Ejaz Naqvi, who said that, “These kind of letters disturb the balance of society. It is also a threat to the law and order. So police should take neccesary actions on it. Even the government should act on it.”

He added, “History is the testimony that no war has been occurred due to the Holy Quran and neither it is a threat to law and order. Quran is not against any religion. The letter stated by Hindu Sena is nothing but just a publicity stunt. ”

The Hindu Sena come into limelight in 2016 when they celebrated US President Donald Trump. Even they demanded to ban burqas after the Sri Lanka attack where 253 people died in a bomb blast.

The Hindu Sena Group was fouded in 2011 and since been known for their weird acts. This group even payed tribute Queen Victoria on her 118th death anniversary.

Charge sheet read out to ‘rape’ accused Kerala Catholic bishop Franco Mulakkal

A court here on Thursday read out the charge sheet to rape accused former Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal and set the date for commencement of trial on September 16.

It was last week that Kottayam Additional Sessions Court ordered him not to leave the city till the charge sheet is read out, after the Supreme Court dismissed the petition filed by him seeking to discharge him in the Kerala nun rape case.

The important points in the charge sheet that runs over a thousand pages was read out to him, which he flatly denied.

Mulakkal was arrested on September 21, 2018 on rape charges, and he secured bail on October 16, 2018.

The charge sheet names 83 witnesses, including the Cardinal of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Mar George Alencherry, three bishops, 11 priests and 22 nuns.

After the case came to light, Mulakkal was removed as head of the Jalandhar diocese.

Jammu and Kashmir Police examining evidence in alleged fake encounter case

Police said on Thursday it has deputed a team headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police to complete all legal and technical formalities into the disappearance of three persons belonging to Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

Vijay Kumar, IGP (Kashmir) told reporters that a team headed by a DSP rank officer has been deputed to Rajouri to complete all legal and technical formalities with regard to the disappearance of three persons belonging to Rajouri district.

Families of the three persons have lodged a missing report, which says the three missing persons have been killed in a fake encounter in the Amshipora village of Shopian district.

The family members have said three of their kin had come to Shopian to work as manual labourers and after their mobile phones were found switched off for several days, the anxious family members came to Shopian to find the whereabouts of the three missing persons.

“The Rajouri families filed a missing report and since then we are trying to evaluate the case through all technical evidences.

“We have taken the DNA samples of three terrorists’ killed in Shopian encounter which will be sent to the central lab to ascertain facts.

“Besides matching the DNA samples it is being investigated whether these three persons who had come from Rajouri were in contact with local militants are not. We will examine all the technical evidence that we have”, the IGP said.

The missing report filed by the families has identified the three missing persons as Abrar Ahmad Khan, 18, Imtiyaz Hussain, 26 and another Abrar Ahmad, 21 belonging to Rajouri district.

Odisha records highest 1-day spike of 1,981 corona cases

Odisha registered the highest single-day spike of 1,981 Covid-19 positive cases in last 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 52,653, said the health department on Thursday.

The state also recorded nine more Covid-19 deaths, pushing the death toll to 314 in the last 24 hours.

Three patients died in Ganjam, two deaths each were reported from Cuttack and Mayurbhanj while Kandhamal and Sundargarh registered one each.

Out of the fresh positive cases, 1,225 were reported in quarantine centres while 756 were local contacts.

Contact tracing and follow up action are underway, said the department.

Fresh cases have been reported from all 30 districts with Khordha registering highest 274 cases followed by Ganjam (267), Kandhamal (179) and Sundargarh (145).

The number of active cases in the state rose to 15,808 while 36,478 patients have recovered so far.
