Bollywood celebrities wish ‘coolest, gracious’ Deepika Padukone on birthday

Actress Deepika Padukone turned 34 on Sunday and her friends from the Hindi film industry took to social media to wish their “coolest and most gracious” co-actor a year full of happiness, love and success.

Deepika, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, made her Bollywood debut in 2007 opposite Shah Rukh Khan “Om Shanti Om”. She was later seen in blockbusters like “Cocktail”, “Jawaani Hai Deewani”, “Chennai Express”, “Bajirao Mastani”, “Goliyon Ki Raasleela… Ram-Leela”, “Padmaavat” and “Piku”. She made her Hollywood debut with the action film “XXX: Return of Xander Cage” in 2017.

Deepika married actor Ranveer Singh in 2018.

Deepika’s “Chhapaak” director Meghna Gulzar took to Twitter, where she shared a behind-the-scene photograph of herself along with Deepika.

Gulzar captioned it: “You are cherished! Happy Birthday @deepikapadukone! Stay blessed… stay blissed.”

Actress Madhuri Dixit Nene wished the “Padmaavat” star, saying: “Here’s wishing you a day filled with laughter and surrounded by the ones you love. I wish that you enjoy the best of everything in life. Happy birthday @deepikapadukone.”

Deepika’s “Cocktail” co-actor Diana Penty tweeted: “Happy Birthday DP! Keep shining bright like you always do! Love, happiness and success always @deepikapadukone.

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia shared a selfie along with Deepika and captioned it: “Happy birthday gorgeous! Have an amazing day and a blessed year @deepikapadukone.

Actor Nikitin Dheer, who was seen in “Chennai Express” along with Deepika, wrote: “Happy Birthday Meenamma @deepikapadukone… the coolest, most gracious and definitely the most beautiful co-actor.. Hoping to have the pleasure of sharing screen space with you very soon. Hope you have a rocker of a year.

Nikitin also shared a photograph from “Chennai Express” and quipped it was a deleted scene from the film.

He added: “Btw this is a deleted scene where Meenamma chose Tangaballi over Rahul, but was forced to be with Rahul, you can see the pain in her eyes.. (not true) #chennaiexpress #crushforever #beautifulmemories.”

Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor leave for Delhi for ‘Bell Bottom’ trailer launch

 Actors Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor were spotted at the international airport here on Tuesday, as they left for Delhi to launch the trailer of their upcoming film ‘Bell Bottom’.

This will be the first big film promotion taking place in New Delhi from the time the Covid-19 pandemic started.

Producers Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani were also spotted leaving for the capital.

Akshay was also accompanied by wife Twinkle Khanna, son Aarav and daughter Nitara.

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ to release this year on Christmas

Actor Allu Arjun’s much awaited film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has been locked for a Christmas release this year.

Confirming the news, producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers said in a joint statement: “‘Pushpa’ is an action-packed story that has moments that tug at the heart and filming it has been a joyride.”

The added: “The film has already created a lot of buzz among the audiences and we are thrilled to announce that the first part will get a Christmas release this year. We can’t wait for the fans to watch it and shower their never ending love to the entire team of ‘Pushpa’. We have decided to release the second part of the movie in the year 2022.”

The film was trending on social media on Monday, after the teaser of its first track ‘Jaago Jango bakre’ was released. The song will be releasing in five different languages.

The film starring, Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, will release in two parts. While the first part is set to release on Christmas this year, the next part is scheduled to release in 2022.

Chunky Panday reveals songs he wants to be remade

Actor Chunky Panday is moving ahead with the tide. He shared that he would love that the numbers he featured in get remade and that he gets to star in them as he says “songs make you live forever”.

“I have been lucky with music. I have had some great songs like ‘Saajan aajao’ from my first film ‘Aag hi Aag’, then ‘Main tera tota’ from ‘Paap Ki Duniya’ and I was so lucky that Kishore da (Kishore Kumar) had sung that song,” Chunky told IANS.

The actor shared that he would also love to star in the revamped version of his numbers.

He said: “Then ‘Saat samundar paar’ from ‘Vishwatma’ and ‘Laal dupatte wali’ from ‘Aankhein’… ‘So gaya yeh jaahan’ has been remixed and so has ‘Saat samundar’…”

The 58-year-old star added: “But of course I would love my songs to be remixed and I would love to be part of it again even though I am not that young but I would surely love to behave like that. Songs make you live forever.”
