Actress Ashley Judd says when she was raped at 15, she only told her diary.

Celebrities have come together to share their stories of sexual assault and the struggle many victims face in reporting such crimes.

One of them was Judd, who tweeted on Friday: “#WhyIDidntReport. The first time it happened, I was 7. I told the first adults I came upon.

“They said ‘Oh, he’s a nice old man, that’s not what he meant.’ So when I was raped at 15, I only told my diary. When an adult read it, she accused me of having sex with an adult man.”

On Friday, the hashtag #WhyIDidntReport began trending on Twitter after President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court of the United States nominee Brett Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford, reports etonline.com.

In an article last week, Ford alleged that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while they were in high school, coming forward as the author of an anonymous letter penned earlier this summer. Kavanaugh has denied the accusations.

Soon after, actress Alyssa Milano, who was also part of the #MeToo movement, tweeted: “Hey, Donald Trump, listen the f**k up. I was sexually assaulted twice. Once when I was a teenager. I never filed a police report and it took me 30 years to tell me parents.”

“If any survivor of sexual assault would like to add to this please do so in the replies. #MeToo.”

“Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart also took part in the #WhyIDidntReport movement, tweeting: “Because I didn’t want to lose my job or make people think I was a drama queen. #WhyIDidntReport.”

Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has faced several criticisms and trolling for his looks, acting skills and more since the time he made his debut with the film ‘Heropanti’ in 2014. The actor says that as long as he gets more love than hate on social media, he is mostly unaffected by the trollers.

Recently the actor sat down with Arbaaz Khan for a conversation as part of the chat show ‘Pinch Season 2’.

As the theme of the show was to address some of the trolls and mean comments on social media about the celebrity guest, Tiger read out comments in which mostly he is bullied for the way he looks and on his acting skills.

To answer all his trolls, Tiger said, “I know from the time my first film was released people said ‘ye ladka hai ya ladki’, people commented on my face and said I look like a girl. And then they see my body! A section of people loves me for my action scenes etc. As long as love is coming in for me from my fans, I am ok. I have decided to make my own space in Bollywood, I have chosen a separate path for myself. When you try and create something of your own, there are hurdles but I take it on.”

He also said, “when it comes to trolling, it is at times scary how a nameless, faceless individual could say anything about anybody without getting caught!”

One of his trolls made a comment that Tiger read out, “Are you virgin?” to which the actor quipped, “I am a virgin like Salman (Khan) bhai!”

The episode of Arbaaz Khan’s ‘Pinch Season 2’ releases on August 3.

Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra took to social media on Monday to issue a statement, saying she and her family do not deserve a media trial.

Shilpa’s statement comes at a time when her husband, businessman Raj Kundra has been granted judicial custody till August 10 in a case pertaining to alleged production and distribution of porn content.

The actress said she will not comment on the case as it is subjudice and also requested the media for some privacy saying the past few days have been challenging for her “on every front”.

Shilpa shared her statement on Instagram on Monday, which reads: “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed…not only to me but also to my family.”

“MY STAND…I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity ‘Never complain, never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary,” she added.

“As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same,” Shilpa further wrote.

“I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyamev Jayate!” she concluded.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s statement talking about her “right to privacy” comes just a few days after the Bombay High Court reportedly refused to restrict media and social media platforms from publishing reports which talk about her.
