Actor Shekhar Suman feels the grave of late actor Irrfan Khan looks unkempt. On Wednesday, he suggested a marble covering for the grave on behalf of the film industry along with a loving epitaph.

Shekhar Suman shared a photograph of Irrfan’s grave on his unverified Twitter account, which was originally posted on Instagram by the late actor’s son Babil.

Along with the picture, the actor tweeted: “This is d late actor Irrfan Khan’s grave. Does it teach anything about life? After all the fame n adulation, International acclaim, you lie alone in an unkempt grave. Can the industry wake up and at least get this place done in white marble wid a loving epitaph?”

Earlier this week, Babil shared the photograph of his father’s grave on his verified Instagram account and wrote: “Baba liked it wild, Ayaan is staying strong. mamma recently wrote about the wilderness around when some of his fans were worried that it looked unkempt, I need you to understand, he always always wished to be surrounded by the grass and the plants and the trees. Waste and plastic is always removed from that wilderness.”

Mumbai Police summon Kangana, Rangoli, slap sedition charges

In a significant development, the Mumbai Police have issued summons to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for investigations following a FIR lodged against them with sedition charges included, officials said here on Wednesday.

“Among the charges include Indian Penal Code Sec. 124-A (sedition)…besides spreading communal hatred and falsehoods. The police have also recorded the statement of the complainant, Munawwarali Sahil A. Sayyed todayin this connection,” his lawyer Ravish Zamindar told IANS.

The sisters have been directed to come to Bandra Police Station on Oct. 26-27, five days after the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate J. Y. Ghule took cognisance of Sayyed’s complaint and ordered a FIR to be registered against the siblings last Saturday (Oct. 17).

A Bollywood casting director and fitness trainer, Sayyed had accused Kangana and Rangoli of defaming the film industry, portraying the people working in it in a bad light with claims of nepotism, drug addiction, communal bias, attempting to drive a wedge between artistes of different communities, calling them murderers, insulting religions, etc, on social media and through public statements.

He also charged her with of creating a Hindu-Muslim divide through objectionable comments, citing Rangoli’s “make the mullas and secular media stand in line and shoot them down; the history may call us Nazis, who cares” remarks.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut claims she was judged for hailing from Himachal Pradesh in her initial days.

Kangana tweeted from her verified account on Wednesday: “Himachal has become a new favourite for film shoots as well, initially when I told people I am from Himachal people didn’t know much about it they judged me for coming from a remote village, commercially it’s a good development, let’s make it ecologically beneficial as well.”

In a separate tweet the actress shared awareness against single use plastics. She was reacting to a user sharing a photograph of Spiti Valley and retorted saying “insensitive, ill mannered city brats” often litter the beautiful valley.

Kangana wrote: “Come to Himachal Pardesh but don’t throw plastic around especially single used plastic like empty bottles and chips packets, this beautiful valley can be turned in to a big dumpster just in one day if couple of insensitive, ill mannered city brats reach there. Please don’t.”

Bihar polls: Actor Pankaj Tripathi urges people to choose leaders wisely

Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who hails from Bihar, has made public interest videos ahead of Bihar Assembly Elections.

The election will be held in three phases, on October 28, November 3 and 7. In view of the pandemic, a lot of concrete arrangements have been made at the booths, the actor said.

“Booths will be cleaned, sanitised one day before polling and from time to time on the day of the elections. There are thermal scanners installed at the entrance of all polling stations. Soap, water and hand sanitisers will be provided at both the entrance and exit of the polling booths,” he shared.

“Place will be marked in a circle to stand in line keeping in view the social distance that one has to maintain. Gloves given to press the button in EVM (electronic voting machine). Wearing a mask at the booth is mandatory and a lot of preparation has been done so that people can vote fearlessly. The Election Commission has covered all possible ground and now it’s upon us as citizens to do our civic duty and choose our leaders wisely,” he added.

On the work front, he will be soon seen in the much-awaited web series “Mirzapur 2”.
